  1. Medical Supply Logo Help

I like them very much since the font change; post #12 being my favourite, except - as Jill says - they all look a bit 'slanty'! I think the culprit is the pointed rule under OHLEY. Pretty sure a blunt parallel rule would solve that uncomfortable optical illusion.
  2. Looking for "Wow"... all I have is "ummm ok"

I'm pretty sure Sage Sign was thinking of Charles Borges De Oliveira, you couldn't do better than Chuck for a beautiful bespoke script logo. http://www.borgeslettering.com/
  3. New Logo Project

I'd rather see the letter and line spacing tighter in a logo like the one being discussed.
  4. Needed: Font ID

Of all the fonts, in all the world, they picked that one! Barbie, it's not you who needs help, it's your customer. Every pseudo Victorian shop and every narrowboat on the canals besports that clichéd font, we are all drowning in a a surfeit of Algerian. I do hope you talk them out of it...
  5. gutter guys

The gap between GUTTER and GUYS is larger than the gap between the those words and the edge of the graphic. I would reverse that condition; preferably by closing the spacing between letters or by reducing the size of the letters. I would cut my throat before artificially condensing by more...
  6. Need opinion on font modification

It's one of those LHF fonts – Flash Script.
  7. Need opinion on font modification

Too late! Probably for the best; I just thought this might flow a little easier than the lettering in your first colour sketch. However, I really like the Cataneo version, works a treat.
  8. Lettering for trucks and cars

Whoever Edna really is, I do hope, he/she/they eventually identifies themselves. It has been great entertainment and talent like that should not go unrecognized.
  9. Lettering for trucks and cars

Come on Edna, admit it, you are Jeremy Sandford's muse for his play "Edna the Inebriate Woman". You are, aren't you? I love a celebrity.
  10. Lettering for trucks and cars

Sorry to intrude but I wondered if anyone here knows of a good Gourmet Chef forum; I need to know how to boil an egg – tonight! Edna cannot be real – who have we annoyed recently? Definitely a better class of troll – quite entertaining really :) Well done.
  11. Help Needed

    Change of emphasis.
  12. Help Needed

Some variations on a theme; using elements from the pictures without infringing copyright - one hopes!
  13. The Flying Avocado

Extremely attractive sign. What’s the thinking behind the back-to-front V in AVOCADO?
  14. Copyrighted Artwork?

And, just for fun and to muddy the waters still further! The locomotive depicted in post #37 is one of William Dean's 2-2-2, '3001' class singles. That dear old lady never came close to emigrating but she may well have visited the market town Ludlow on the English/Welsh border.
  15. What font to use ?

I think Sloop Script takes some beating when looking for the class and elegance one might expect from a Jewellers. Used here with Socrates.
  16. For Bucks

Hi Jill, A summer of rain almost every day has had quite an effect on the River; strong stream warnings and weirs fully drawn have been regular features and kept traffic down to all time lows. Apart from gardening around the locks, my only contribution in terms of signwork has been to write the...
  17. Font id please

Jill, I notice the Terra Normal link doesn't credit the poor old designer or foundry, which seems a bit harsh :) Hope you don't mind me adding this link: http://e-daylight.jp/design/fonts/type/t/tango.html
  18. Font id please

It was called 'Tango' in my yellow and green Letraset book.
  19. mall sign help needed

Sorry, I cannot help asking why a cityscape for a business called "Out of Town"? I'm sure its blindingly obvious to everyone else so, I'll be hunting for my dunce's cap as soon as maybe.
  20. How things change.

Lots of Pirate flags, Jill; but usually on self-skippered hire boats, out for stag and hen party cruises. Plenty of Jolly Rogering when they hit town! Strangely, that Sharpie came all the way across the seas from Butler – amazing!
