I usually tend to use the Matte-Pet setting for photographs, usually using the high quality setting instead of the standard setting. It has 8 passes a minute instead of 9 with standard and it usually works well for me.
I have tried a full set of calibrations and one tech said that it might be the cable tension also, I appreciate your advice and will try adjusting that.:thankyou:
I don't use the crop marks when I am printing the decals then cutting them immediately, I only really use the crop marks for printing then laminating and cutting. However, now I have to use them.
I have tried the calibrations for the print/cut and crop mark/cut, I also cleaned the laser that reads the encoder strip (shortly after I learned that the encoder strip doesn't control the cut), and I have replaced the cut cables. At least I'm not up the creek without a paddle since it works...
Thanks genius, I still don't want to have to use the crop mark detection every time. Do you even know what I'm talking about? If I use the crop marks, then I have to go back and let the sensors read the crop marks then die cut instead of just printing and cutting.
I tried die cutting with the crop mark detection and it works fine and cuts straight; but with just the regular print the cut approach it still die cuts off to the right
I've been having issues with my die cutting not being centered. I'll print a row of 2 inch decals and the first two are spot on, but the further down the line it goes; the more the cut seems to shift toward the carraige home. Is there some remedy besides replacing the cut cables and the encoder...
I have five year old heads that print fine on mine and I use them about 8 hours a day and five days a week. Go into service mode and do a horizontal head adjust test print, re-calibrate it accordingly and it should clear things up.
I run a qs3200 and a qs2000 and have used the recommended adhesion promoter from vutek and it works perfectly each time. It is pretty damn expensive, but the quality makes the it worthwhile. Also printing directly to the substrate eliminates so much labor.
Actually it was the cut cables, they were a pain in the butt to replace for the first time but luckily i searched deep in this site and found step by step instructions on how to do it from a roland tech
I am getting a pinchroll error even though the pinchrolls are correctly in place. I have searched for this error and many people believe that it is the cutter cables. I currently have my machine turned off and wide open, so any advice is helpful.
TIA
THIS.
I would advise against it totally and ask if maybe they wanted it reverse printed on clear, then backed in white or even die cut after backing it to keep it away from outdoor elements.
at our shop we use the double stick banner tape, then our sewing department stitches the sides all around to ensure the integrity of the banner with nylon webbing. No complaints in 15 years of doing it this way.
I have a customer asking for specific sizes of aluminum to be directly printed on a UV flatbed, however they are asking if the corners can be inverted instead of the typical rounded corners. I have never done this before, only purchased signs pre-cut this way in the typical 12" x 24". Is there a...
