Yes - I twisted the end of the holder to vary the amount of blade that is exposed (tried all different combos) and I routinely twist the knob to tighten the blade holder to ensure it is tight as I know it eventually loosens a bit.

Or would a new cut carriage head do the trick? I've messed around with settings considering the new blade, holder, etc. I just put a new print head in this machine so besides these inconsistent cuts it works great. Thanks!

Thanks everyone - I will tinker with the blade extension out of my new holder and see if that helps. Right now I am successful cutting with 1 pass - but am at 300gf.

You think cleaning the rail or adding some oil to the actual rail of the cut carriage head would help?

No - no marks on the backing too - I routinely always look on the backside to judge my depth. Now 220-300 there is no cutting into the backing. Whenever it would - I would back off 5-10gf but now no matter how high I go it doesn't cut that deep.

Have had a recent odd problem. Cutting through vinyl with thick lam (15mm). New Cut Strip, Brand new 60 degree blade, and brand new OEM Blade Holder. I am still cutting at 250gf or so. I did some test cuts and increased the pressure all the way to 300gf - and there isn't much of a difference...

Thanks, I will do a thorough cleaning again. MP Custom - color of the first file is Navy....not sure if that matters. Test print for the last year has shown some deflection marks on black and cmy all look good with maybe 1 or 2 small deflected lines. Thanks!

I changed to Uni-Directional opposed to Bi-Directional and it came out clean......prints much slower, but no deflection?? Any ideas or have any of you come across this before? Thank you!

Always have used genuine Roland Eco Sol Max Ink. Cap tops and wiper blades (replaced not too long ago) have some build up I would say......And yes always do so before installing the cartridge. Thank you!!
