It was a while ago but when my fc7000 went down because of a loose screw that shorted the mainboard, I had to replace it with an fc8000 board. They are basically identical.

I know this is a little old but it sounds like you had an ink cartridge drain dry. If you have a slight leak in the cap station seal or possibly a pinhole in your damper, it will form a slow drip that will drain the cart into the waste tank.

Okay, I replaced the main 40 pin cables and all is well now. Gotta be very careful with those ribbon cables. You were right jfiscus, it seem that it was the slider card, again. I just replaced it last year. Thanks all for the suggestions. That is what makes this board great!

I acquired a donor machine yesterday so I switched out the slider card, now I have other issues. The data cables were a pita and i think I screwed one up. It's kinked now and those damn blue strips that keep it stiff and help retain them in the socket came off. Started printing random lines...

Wow, you have some seriously clogged heads there looking at the test print. Lots of deflection going on. Have you ever taken the heads out and injected cleaning solution through them? That will help clear them up alot. I think the issue is either a clogged damper or a bad head cable as "Generic"...

I don't know about you but I have had problems with ink starvation with the tall dampers. I've also had problems with the re-size leaking with the tall ones. I always use new o-rings too. I decided to eliminate the possibility of having those problems by sticking with the cheaper small dampers...
