  2. Looking for a Graphtec FC2250 / flatbed plotter

I'm in Colorado in the US. Are you looking in Europe only? I assume it would be prohibitively expensive to ship it that far.
  3. Looking for a Graphtec FC2250 / flatbed plotter

Where are you located? I have an FC2250-120 that I'm looking to sell.
  4. Plotter Software with More Granular Control?

Are there any other plotter software options out there beyond Cutting Master compatible with Graphtec plotters and Illustrator? We could really use something with more granular control over the cutting order and cutting direction of objects. We've tried out Cutting Master 4 recently for our...
  5. Looking for 25-30" Laminator

Maybe I should be asking for input on whether I need heat too. We'll be laminating inkjet wrapping vinyl and colored wrapping vinyl like 3M 1080. I figured the heat would cut down or eliminate any silvering.
  6. Looking for 25-30" Laminator

I'm in the market for a small laminator, probably heat assist. It would be exclusively for an ongoing project. I'm hoping to get some direction on any models, brands or vendors to look at. Any feedback is appreciated.
  7. FC7000MK2 stuck in Cross Cutter Mode

Sounds like you may need to adjust the cross cutter position adjustment. You can find it in the service menu by holding down test and enter while turning the machine on. Then hit menu until you see c-cutter pos adj.
  8. Need major help from the screen printing vets!

If you expose one in the sun you'll be able to confirm whether or not it's the emulsion or your just not getting enough exposure.
  9. Can I Print Film Positives for Silk Screen

We used to do this with an old HP inkjet and it worked pretty well. We mostly used it for coro signs. I don't remember doing many halftones but I'm sure you could make it work. There will just be some experimenting and tweaking to be done.
  10. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

Not yet. I haven't had time yet. Rest of the world keeps getting in the way!
  11. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

It's like it's trying to turn on. I flip the switch on and I can hear a "click" that comes from something on the power supply board and, at about the same time, the screen back light flashes on for a split second and then it's dead. This repeats about every 6 seconds. Click-flash, 6...
  12. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

:U Rock: Thanks for posting that. Here are the pics I took. I don't think we have a voltage meter here at the shop so I'll have to bring them from home tomorrow. I'll also have to read the manual for my meter because I'm not exactly sure how to use it, LOL. *** Offsite Pic Replaced...
  13. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

I pulled off the left and right covers and unfortunately didn't see any obvious fuses. At least none of the kind of automotive and glass fuses I'm familiar with. I can take a pic if anyone is interested.
  14. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

I figured as much but I'm not sure if there's anything I can do outside of calling in someone to fix it.
  15. FC7000 Dead After Static Shock

One of our FC7000 plotters died yesterday after receiving a static shock from a user. I've been shocked plenty of times when touching the machine but until now it has always bounced back. Any idea what exactly may have happened. Any possibility we could diagnose and fix the problem without...
  16. Static Fix?

We put the Graphtec "static string" kit on two of our plotters. Actually we purchased one "kit" which includes two string and magnets and put one each on two plotters. They do help but it's no magic cure.
  17. Graphtec FC7000 FC8000 Series Service Menu

Just using the cross cut function right on the plotter. menu>next>cross cut>cut.
  18. Graphtec Holder for Roland Blades?

While looking for a replacement Graphtec blade holder I came across an aftermarket blade holder on eBay that would take Roland blades but fit in the Graphtec. Is there any advantage to this? Are Roland blades cheaper or better?
  19. Graphtec FC7000 FC8000 Series Service Menu

Our plotter started cutting horribly yesterday and I noticed the head was slightly loose on the track. I took it apart to tighten the rollers down to the track. I got them tightened down but unfortunately after all that work it turned out to be the blade holder going bad. I'm assuming the...
  20. Graphtec FC7000 FC8000 Series Service Menu

I'm putting this thread here as a little FYI for others to find as needed. Our plotter was having some issues cross cutting and we had to adjust the cross cutter position to fix it. To get into the service menu on the Graphtec FC7000 series plotter hold down the "TEST" and "ENTER" buttons...
