  1. Hello everyone, Views on Canon iPF8100?

What is the price of a 42" roll of phototex for pigment ink ? I don't have it in my country, so I guess I would have to buy it online.
  2. wet glue

Hi fellas, I am looking for a glue (possibly wet glue in big bottles) for mounting photo paper to forex or gatorboard. We don't have adhesive boards in our market and the project is to be printed in high quality photo paper with pigment ink printer (so no glossy vinyl either). I have made...
  3. Mounting to forex

Hi All, Our print shop wants to introduce to customers the photos mounted in forex (foam) boards. Till now we just did the printouts, usually in photo paper, but no finishing. We do have the plotters (Canon pigment plotters) but we don't have any large size laminators nor experience in...
  4. Head Life

I liked your description but still there must be some standards. If not how do you know if your actual print head did perform well or not. In pigment printing I know that a printhead will last for at least 2.4 km2 print which is roughly 240.000 sq feet
  5. Head Life

Got some question : 1. What is an average in Print Head usage ? 2. How do you measure it up (ml or m2) ? 3. Which company is best known for long life print-heads and less banding ? 4. Is "waving technology" at Mutoh really smth or it is more marketing ? thnx
  6. Are big names over rated ?

I think this thread is taking the wrong curve. I appreciate all the input that you guys are filling in and the good will. But as it was previously posted : I needed opinions from people who have tried both worlds. And I believe I got all the info needed. There was one major flaw in my...

  8. HP Design Jet L25500 Opinions?

I am starting to like this HP version of latex. I have some previous dye ink plotters from HP and to be honest I was somehow disappointed with them (speed, color issues). One thing I don't understand. I saw online that a cartridge of 770ml is priced at approx 150-160 USD. So doing a...
  9. Are big names over rated ?

hem .... nice point of view !!! I am located in Europe.
  10. Are big names over rated ?

I believe the RIP is iPRINT. I don't personally know this RIP Of course I second all your opinions and I always say: "Your machine is as good as your service guy" But in my company there is a tradition : whenever there is a problem - I fix it within 2-3 hours. And when I told my boss that I am...

  12. Are big names over rated ?

You mean: quality issues have a higher chance to happen with NON BIG Name Companies ?
  13. Are big names over rated ?

I don't know, from the video I saw it looked pretty simple design. Carriage + tubes, a service station, feeding rollers. But as I said cannot be sure unless I tear it appart. What I fear most are quality issues like banding. I don't know how stable Eco solvent technology is in this aspect. Thnx
  14. Are big names over rated ?

well, I asked them and they offer one year warranty. As for replacing parts I don't see much difficulty as I have a lot of experience in servicing dye/pigment plotters.
  15. Are big names over rated ?

Hi everyone ! I am a newbie in this forum and a newbie in solvent/eco solvent technology. I come from the dye/pigment world. A heavy user & specialized technician in canon lfp-s from years. Well, lately my boss is thinking of jumping into the eco solvent world. I have been looking...
