Too much emphasis on the & symbol. Try making it smaller, a lot smaller. As mentioned I would consider a fresh start though. Perhaps do something else for a while to clean your mind of it.

Could well be the conversion from sRGB to Adobe RGB. Bring the image into Photoshop (or similar) and convert it to Adobe RGB. I would also consider installing the Roland profile by locating it in the Versaworls installion folder, right clicking it and choosing install. In Photoshop (unsure about...

Yeah, odd that.

Try changing the rendering intent to preceptual, the direction to uni direction and the halftone to error diffusion. Also, make sure your color profiles are the same i.e: The image is in Adobe RGB format (as per pre-press us defaults). EDIT: What are you printing on and what profiles?

I might be recomending the obvious here but have you performed a manual clean with sensor swabs and cleaning solution. I didn't see you mention it in your original post. If not then I would recommend getting on it ASAP. We perform a manual cleans at least bi-weekly.

In terms of UK wording,... its a bit chav mate. Kind of Essex girl bling. It looks cool but in terms of useability I think you need to tone it down a bit. Go with some softer, pastel like colours. I was in photography for some years and subtle is more successful than brash and bold. Though...
