  3. Gerber vs MultiCam vs Colex

Hello. It's still running pretty well. There have been some maintenance issues but we have worked through them. Overall still happy with the purchase.
  4. Here's one to make ya laugh

    PITA Fee!
  5. HP Scitex FB500

Hey Adam - I can't say that I've experienced that problem with our FB700. The ink usually adheres very well to the coro and aluminum we print on. We buy our coro in skid quantities so we don't have to clean the sheets before we print on them. We also print side 2 immediately and package...
  6. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. Yes it's been frustrating but I have to say - HP has been working hard trying to figure the problem out. The humidity might have something to do with it. In Colorado humidity is always lower than ideal. We had a lot of issues throughout the...
  7. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Super clean shop, our entire facility is HVAC controlled, hate cats, no dogs (love dogs), our post heat/torch process hasn't changed in 8 years (could be a fluke but we've laid down a lot of vinyl). Good ideas but I think we are covered. Has to be a printer/install/profile/ink problem in my...
  8. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Good tip on the OP. No pattern to the delam, I think the laminator is good. When it fails, it's usually in a ripping pattern similar to the photo. I know what you are talking about though, we used to fight a flat spot on our old laminator that drove us nuts in the old print/lam/mount days...
  9. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Hey Dypinc. Sorry, I should have clarified. The oversaturation comment was related to backlit applications. When printing IJ180 or Arlon 6000 we are running 10 pass at 110% saturation. Much more than 110% the detail gets lost (from what we've found). So the delam issues shouldn't be tied to...
  10. HP 360 de-lamination issues

The canned profiles are a good starting point but we need to build our own profiles to create uniform output across all of our presses. We use an i1pro2 with an i0 table to build all of our profiles. We should be able to lay down as much or as little ink as we want (within reason) and still...
  11. HP 360 de-lamination issues

    Correct. OEM inks for sure.
  12. HP 360 de-lamination issues

We are curing at 235. Max temp is 241 (which we have tried).
  13. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Doubtful that it's the laminate since we've had 3 different kinds fail (Arlon, 3M, 3rd party). Could be but doubtful.
  14. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Just tried the wet paper towel test (and dry for grins), nothing came off on the paper towel. Curing at 235, optimizer level at 12.
  15. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Here's a photo. Lamination comes off clean, leaves the printed vinyl behind. A real bummer when it's in the middle of a large panel!
  16. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Thanks Studebaker. Will give it a shot. Love your signature line by the way!
  17. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Good thought. We are running a Seal 54 with heat assist. We lam most of our PS vinyl at 80% pressure. We've tried it with and without heat assist, same results either way. It has to be something with the inks is my best guest.
  18. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Pretty sure we are printing on fresh material. We go through several rolls per week so they are new to us, hopefully they are new from the local distributor. Haven't noticed any oily appearance, but will keep looking. :banghead::banghead::banghead: frustrating is right!
  19. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Good suggestion, I will try this on the next run. Thanks,
  20. HP 360 de-lamination issues

Still having issues with our 360. We just wrapped a big truck and had several areas delaminate. We were using Arlon 6000xrp with 3220 gloss overlaminate. We have tried a number of different adjustments on the printer - same results. I have sent two rounds of bad material to HP, they are...
