Okay, I probably wouldn't order one of these machines as it scares the begeebies out of me to think of not having parts or service readily available BUT check out some of the features for the cost.
I especially like the cutting feature (scroll down to see them). I don't think I've seen...
Your thoughts? I just saw a flier from Grimco for this product.
We produce bus advertising so I'm particulary interested in how easily it removes.
Thanks.
Anybody ever fill the edges of an Alumalite corogated sheet with bondo then sand flush and paint?
Anybody ever epoxy edge cap moldings onto the sides of Alumalite?
I'm looking for alternative edge treatments for an Alumalite wall mount sign (no frame). I've had problems with the 3/8' edge...
Well after years of being so carefull with my printers... I accidentally let the material run out on the roll and jammed my 1624.
Instantly it errored out. I pulled the plug, pushed the on button to clear the machine and attempted to restart the machine.
I'm not able to consistantly...
Hey Folks,
Can anyone tell me where I can read and print laws regarding vehicle wraps on windows (I'm in Michigan)?
I've Googled my fingers off to no avail.
I have a transit customer that wants to wrap their new branding partially over the entry doors of their buses. It's always been my...
I'm new to takeup systems - Yes, 5 years of running to the printer every 10 minutes is over (thank God)!
My question: If your takeup system tracks the vinyl to the left or right will it cause the print to track in that direction as well or will the printer's pressure rollers win the battle...
Having major issues with our new 1624 not tracking properly. I'm loading and setting the media (wrap vinyls) by the book.
It buckles the material on the feed side (between roll and pressure rollers) and forces me to move the media to the right to work the buckle out. Ends up tracking to...
According to Mutoh's quick reference printing mode chart, Q4 High Speed (720x1440) is supposed to print faster than Graphics 2 (720x720) - so better quality at a slightly faster speed.
Problem was, Mutoh didn't have a profile for Q4 High Speed. Well they do now...
Check out this new concept car by Toyota. Features a changeable exterior. I wonder if they're doing this with an electronic wrap or if it's built into the car body somehow. Crazy stuff.
I've seen some pretty cool illuminated wraps but nothing like this! Is this the future of the wrap...
For some reason I'm unable to set the media properly on my new VJ 1624. (guessing this is the problem)
After 10' to 25' of printing the "End of Roll" sensor shuts down my print job. The vinyl seems to be feeding unevenly and is buckeling up on one side or the other (infeed side) and triping...
There are Print Modes listed in Mutoh's "Print Mode Quick Reference" chart that are not available on my printer or in Flexi 10.
All software (flexi) and firmware was updated last week when the printer was installed yet I'm not seeing an option for Fine&Fuzz6...In fact I'm not seeing any...
Well I upgraded to a ValueJet 1624 from a 1204 so I no longer need these. I'm asking $45 each but will consider less if you take the whole bunch (11 carts.) All are unopened - purchased from Fellers.
See my signs 101 classifed here...
Mutoh 1618 Dual Head V New 1624?! What say you?
If you had to choose between the newer single head 1624 (newer epson head, 3 year waranty, etc.
and the older DUAL head 1618a (older heads but faster overall speed)....
WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE???
Hi everyone.
Just wondering if any of you would be willing to post (or PM) what you paid for a new Mutoh 1624? I'm currently pricing Sign Warehouse and Fellers.
I'll be purchasing one soon and would like to get some real world pricing information.
Thanks.
Kirk
Okay, normally I use cast laminate over cast vinyl and calendered laminate over calendered vinyl...but here's my situation. I just ran out of calendared laminate. I'm laminating 11" x 28" interior bus ad cards then mounting to a cardstock backing.
Laminate = 2mil cast (lamex)
Vinyl = Orajet...
Designed and installed this ad for Jim's Body Shop. Designed in CorelDraw X5. Printed on Mutoh ValueJet.
Always nice to do something a little different.
Wish I would have slanted the old truck to show the weight of the bear....Oh well. lol
Anybody ever replace the dampers in their ValueJet?
I've got a VJ-1204. Had it for five years but have not replaced the dampers. Surprised to see a recomendation to change these every year (Fellers Catalog).
Any suggestions??
Thanks.
Anyone know where I can find the instructions for replacing the dampers in a Mutoh ValueJet 1204?
I see I can purchase them everywhere yet I find no instructions.
