  1. Ink Failure or Printhead Failure?

Tekkie- Thank you for the advice! I have a tech here now doing those exact things! I've been on the phone with our ink supplier and naturally he's convinced its not his ink but is on board to get it resolved either way. Sometimes threatening to pull business brings about a faster response. As...
  2. JV33, wiper dry and clean.

If you put your JV33 into service mode and get into the #adjust menu you can do an adjustment for the wiper. There's a chance that its not aligned properly with your printhead.
  3. Ink Failure or Printhead Failure?

I really don't think its the printhead. I've now seen the exact same failure in a 5th printer. I have 6 and truly, I have never seen this problem before. The dampers are clean. I have changed all cyan dampers and yet it continues to happen. I put a new printhead in a week ago (thankfully it was...

  6. Ink Failure or Printhead Failure?

Hi there! I actually had to change the head. Strangely enough it has now happened on 2 other printers. Same identical problem. My gut says there is no way that it is 3 printheads all blowing at once. I think I have an ink problem. Bad patch possibly? If I do have a bad batch of ink, is...
  7. Ink Failure or Printhead Failure?

I have a JV33 and have been running them extensively the past few weeks. Last night I start a job that was very heavy on Cyan and witnessed almost complete ink dropout. After doing a test draw one of the channels was completely blocked. I did a 30 minute nozzle wash and was only able to get one...
  8. EPS file wont Load

I have a file for a repeating print that I can't get to load onto Ergosoft. It will load in WasatchTX. Is something wrong with the file that it will load in one and not the other? I can't find any fragments outside the print that may be corrupting it. My company has switched over to Ergosoft...
  9. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

Well for the one printhead (#1) we're stuck leaving that for servicing. We used some alcohol on the printhead for the other one we had been experiencing problems with. Seems successful the past few days. Thanks for everyones contributions on this one!
  10. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

Our oldest and definetely our problem child was purhcased in October 2010. The 2nd came at the end of February and 3 & 4 were purchased in May. This past July we also purchased 4 Mimaki JV33. Which of course are performing beautifully, but everything works great out of the gate!
  11. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

We've learned a great deal with letting the media get acclimated to our environment. We remove the sides and open the plastic. It normally gets a few days (4-5) to get settled before we use it. Thank you to all for your assistance! -Amanda @ Fit2Win
  12. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

    62" coldenhove sublimation paper.
  13. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

Thanks for your tip! I've done the PF adjustments with tech's here. I'll try lowering the heat a bit but with no heat it seems worse. We generally always print with the head on high, even though we have consistent humidity. Our tech's put turned the heaters off about mid May and the problem...
  14. So many issues, too little time! Mutoh 1614

I have 4 Mutoh 1614's. On 2 of them I'm experiencing repeated banding. I've had service tech's come in and do virtually every sort of cleaning available. New ink cartridges, new dampers, new print head even! I've been able to maintain a consistent humidity of around 45-55%. The other torment...
