  2. Making business cards at your shop?

Most paper printers don't even run them now. Everyone I know of uses a trade printer that specializes in cards. You'll get a higher quality card at a lower print than you can ever hope to achieve in-house.
  3. Signs 365 shocking service

We had something coming from texas last month that was delayed a few days. The tracking said TRAIN DERAILED UPS is pretty specific about it when there are problems.
  4. Mug Press Suggestions

You've got that backwards. Some mug presses will do a full wrap but none of them do it well. For a full wrap you want a high quality silicone rubber wrap and an oven. Convection ovens work well, but for the volume you're discussing you might want to consider a hix conveyor oven for mugs. A...
  5. heat pressing shirts using siser easyweed vinyl, what printers are good for images

The GO UNO is a re-badged Oki. If you're determined to do them in-house why don't you try a company that makes plastisol transfers like Versatrans or Ace? Their plastisol transfers can be applied with a heat press and the quality is pretty good. Or, you could sub it out to a contract printer.
  6. Where do you buy your shirts from?

Do you have case pricing? The majority of the time i find they have the best price and if the don't on an item they will price match.
  7. M&R or Anatol??? Someone please make up my mind!!

I'll chime in with another recommendation for M&R. Regarding the price you were given at the show, call up and talk to Rich and see they can't fix this. Also, for what its worth you might want to looking into a M&R factory recert if they have anything available in the configuration you're...
  8. screw you Google

Are you sure it was actually google? The Big G name carries so much weight that lots of shady telemarketing operations use their name. They're calling about your google rankings or listings or search positions but they aren't from google. I've received postcards from google with adwords...
  9. Brother-Jet Mini/Small Direct White ink UV Flatbed Printer

What a strange product. At first, based on the link I thought it was a UV printer from Brother. Then I saw the picture and realized it's built on an epson frame. So this isn't from Brother, but rather a company called BrotherJet? I've never heard of these guys. Are they in the US...
  10. Isa or sgia

SGIA represents all specialty graphics printers so the show has a wider range of products. We do sublimation and screen printing so it's a great event for us, but there are also pad printing, cnc equipment, sign and large format graphics, embroidery and all manner of equipment manufacturers...
  11. Branded T-Shirts

Depends on the artwork and a few other factors. If your client likes the feel of the video flex transfer, and you have enough time to do it in-house, and you have a source for wholesale apparel, then go for it. If you'd like to discuss screen printing them send me a PM.

  14. Printed iPhone Cases

I'll have to look into that. I hadn't been on this forum in a few months and just came on to look for info on a new sublimation printer I'm looking at and happened to see this post.
  15. Printed iPhone Cases

We're one of the only wholesale vacuum form sublimation shops in the US. Almost all of our competitors ship from China. We ship from Detroit. I hope this doesn't violate any self-promo rules, but it looks like we have what you're looking for.
  16. T Shirts

In a pepsi challenge could your customers really tell the difference between a 5.3oz and a 6.1oz? The majority of mine cannot. They buy the 6.1 as an upsell usually because it "sounds" more expensive.
  17. T Shirts

I don't know about jones, but ShirtChamp is a Broder reseller.
  18. What do you wish you would have known when you first started screen printing?

We primarily print apparel for wholesale buyers and ad specialties distributors. Like everyone else I'm going to suggest you sub it out. But if you don't follow that advice here are some pointers for you. Get a dip tank. Washing screens sucks. A dip tank makes it much easier. Use...
