I have never seen one of these sensors go bad....not saying it couldn't. However, in my experience (run 5 Mutohs daily) the problem is usually the wiper will not return to its normal position due to the gears on the maintenance station being stripped out and/or cluttered with dried ink. Also...
Every time we get a new employee we usually send them off to find the magnet stretcher, the flux capacitor and the ID10T form....always good for a laugh.
We also do this thing called "rabies" where we get into a conversation about a local rabies outbreak then someone starts acting crazy, runs...
Since our printers are Japenese - Yoshi, Miko, Suki, Aiko and Midori.
Cutters are Swiss - Argeta and Heidi
Both Laminators are affectionetly known as "Damn It."
Any Zund flatbed cutter users use Cut Guru as a blade source? If so, how did you find the quality of their blades compared to the ones from Zund? Thanks.
Open the job in Onyx Job Editor (or pre-flight) and "package" the job (FILE -> Package Job). This saves all the changes (color corrections/profiles/etc.) you made to the job in an .onx file that can be saved in the same folder as the original. Once a job is packaged it will only open on the...
Try and find a used Zund. There are other flat beds out there but Zunds are built like tanks and last forever....their customer service is also superior....at least in my experience.
STS has a good reputation with eco-sol. That being said it took 3rd parties a while to get the formula's down for eco-solvent so I would be wary of the latex this early in the game. Doesn't mean it won't work. Like BigFish mentioned, I would get a list of actual end-users. Make sure you quiz...
Those codes you mentioned are only there to say that those parts have reached their normal life time limits. It does not mean those parts need replacing. They will need replacing when they actually fail to operate properly. I run 5 Mutoh's and I think every single one of them has at least 2 of...
You can set the printer to auto clean and also set the time between auto cleanings.
Metallic and white eco-solvent inks are a pain and don't last long outdoors so I would defintely go with the regular 628.
Wouldn't worry about parts. MUTOH keeps parts for all their printers (in my...
Yeah, we tried the roll on stuff once and it was horrible. I would only recommend clear shield (or something comparable) if you have a liquid laminator.
Doubtful its the ink. While we did switch to a 3rd party ink several years ago we did so due to cost. Mutoh's ink was always excellent.
Either media or profile but my bet is on the media. Do you run more than one type of media and if so do you have the same problem across the board?
