  1. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

Alright, so even after pulling ink through the dampers (no obstructions or breaks in the lines from the cartridges to the dampers, we were stumped. Called a tech out and he fixed the issue on Friday. We couldn't really pinpoint one exact cause for this mystery though. The most we could figure...
  2. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

Replaced all the dampers, clamp connections and the ink pump. Still no go. Test print results in nothing. Pulled ink through the damper with a syringe and it comes through but with a bit of resistance. Any further help is greatly appreciated.
  3. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

VanderJ, I placed the order with your company and hope to see my order next week. I thank you for all the help thus far. Really hoping this is an easy fix as we are getting calls for prints and don't have a secondary printer to use! I don't know what a bad or a good damper looks like so I'm just...
  4. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

^ Do you know where those are located? No improvement since yesterday. Washed the pump as well with 10ml of wash fluid. Any other input is greatly appreciated. Thinking we are going to replace the dampers and pump then call a tech if this doesn't fix the issue. When trying to print a full...
  5. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

Thanks for the quick response! As of now, I swapped in the original cap top. The one purchased from eBay had a stopper on it and the OEM cap has the blue stopper. Definitely didn't forget that. I just find it incredibly odd that the first test print of the day, after the cap top was replaced...
  6. CJV 30 Sudden Magent and Cyan Loss, ODD...

Hello all, Just replaced the cap station in this machine. I figured the OEM one has seen better days and the seal started to fail on it, resulting in a dry head after a weekend of sitting. After two weeks of taking 90 minute head soaks on Mondays, I ordered a OEM cap off eBay. Replaced it...
  7. Transfer Rite 582U

MikePro, thanks for the info! We would normally roll the material loosely with graphics side out for larger prints/decals but the smaller stuff is stored flat. We try to store it graphics side down to allow gravity to push down the graphic on the premask.
  8. Transfer Rite 582U

Hello everyone, we have been a long time user of the 582U transfer tape but the last few logs we have gotten aren't sticking the release liner of the vinyl. It is curling up and even taking some of the vinyl with it. I thought it may have just gotten a bad log of it but several logs in and the...
  9. Cutting 680CR issues

Issue appears to be solved. More blade depth, cleaned blade, and new roll of 680CR. Not sure which one fixed the issue but did 4 decals without issue.
  10. Cutting 680CR issues

I'm not sure what degree blade it is. I will have to pick up a 60* blade and see. Like I said, we have never had this issue with 3M 5100. Trying 3 more cuts right now with more blade depth. Also cleaned the blade as it had a little debris on it. Thanks all for the help thus far and Happy Halloween!
  11. Cutting 680CR issues

I have attached a picture of what is happening. The lam is not the issue. It has done this without lam. I just tried upping the blade pressure to 280, 290 was a bit too much. Very minor improvement. It may have to do with blade depth. I will try that on the next batch of decals, have 4 more 65"...
  12. Cutting 680CR issues

Hello everyone, it has been a while since I have been on the forum! Anyway, I just spent the last 10 minutes searching here for an answer I couldn't find. Here is the issue, we have been digitally printing on 680CR and laminating with 8518, however, when cutting, we notice that there is glue...
  13. The best brand of razor blade?

We use razor blades that come in a clear box with a red lable. They get dull insanely fast. After trimming maybe 10 things on our cut mat, they are dull. Also, we use them to pop the occosional bubble. If we pop 5 bubbles with them, they are toast. So, what do you guys use? Any help would be...
  14. Nikkalite - Not so easy...

We too have issues with Nikkalite. We get them from BNSF to do the barricades on the back of some of their vehicles and we can never use it. The stuff tears way to easily and is so brittle. That being said, we only use 3M 680 now, much easier. For our in-house jobs we have IJ5100 and the 680CR...
  15. Mimaki and Me

Hello! We have owned our CJV 30-130 for 1.5 years (Should mention that it is our first digitial printer) now and we have only had one serious issue with it. The data cable that the cutter head uses has manage to pop out of the track that it sits in. Normally we just put it back in but it is...
  16. Cjv-30 160 printing problem !!!!

We have the same printer and from time to time we have this issue. Most of the time though we have really nice solids. This may be silly but make sure you maintain it with nozzle washes, pump tube washes, and even try an ink fill up (to possibly resolve air in the line?). Heat settings would be...
  17. vectorizing software

RIGHT? We use Signlab 7.1 for manual tracing, found it to the be the easiest path creation tool for lines and curves. We use Illustrator for quick little traces.
  18. EFF YOU RASTERLINK! Stops working after 3 years says not registered

Geez, sounds like terrible luck! We have had the "Not Registered" issue come up twice. For whatever reason the computer once BSOD while Rasterlink was running, this probably corrupted the registration file. Second time power went out while Rasterlink was open, again probably corrupted the...
  19. Printing Small Text

I'm guessing all PiizzLe has access to is the plotter. We have that same plotter and anything under a 1/4" tall is tricky. Slow it down, adjust blade depth and pressure to bare minimums. New blade can help to.
  20. Reflective for Printing

We use ij5100. Zero issues while printing. Don't clean it with alcohol though. Also, it is half the price of 680. We have used it box trucks, trailers, and flat surfaces with revits.
