What happens if you don't laminate? Is the laminate you're using UV-protective? I've had issues in the past with Graphtec plotters not "seeing" marks through certain UV laminates. The easiest way to test is to try to cut an unlaminated print; if that works but laminated does not then it's likely...
The Q500 was introduced in 2011. That same year Onyx 10 was released. Generally Onyx's policy is that they only write driver's for new printers using the currently shipping Onyx version.
I don't think you're going to find a driver compatible with anything older than maybe v9.
See how the blue endcaps aren't completely parallel to the black ends? There's too much pressure on the side and it's causing skew. Pull the blue lever a little until the black piece pops left and you should see not only a larger gap but also the blue endcap will straighten out.
You'll likely...
Fun story time: I once had a customer hand me a transparency of a side-view of a Corvette he wanted me to scan. OK, simple, right?
He wanted me to "clone out the door so you can see the interior."
I've been out-of-pocket since writing my initial response. Glad you find your answer. For Flexi you can do the same thing - if you look at my Flexi white ink workflow video I show you all the various options in there as well.
For Onyx the Quick Set is fine as a starting point but, as you...
What RIP are you using, and how are you generating your white data? If I had to guess I'd bet the voids are because your area contains no CMYK ink and your RIP is set to lay down white anywhere there's "image area." Unfortunately pretty much any RIP construes "image area" to mean "anywhere...
Silly question, but WHERE on your computer are you plugging in the i1? I've had issues in the past in Onyx where I've read all 40 billion ICC profile patches and then the i1 times out, and the solution was to plug in directly into the back of the computer. Not through a USB hub and not through...
This is a misconception that pops up often. We worked with Summa very closely to create a new product line that is unlike the rest of their plotters - specifically, the addition of the barcode reader to automatically pull cut files from Flexi RIP directly into the plotter. Load the entire...
Context is everything, and without seeing the nature of the project it's tough to say whether this is OK or not. If I'm making this as a product - regardless of whether money changes hands or not - I've caused monetary damages to the trademark or copyright owner. But years ago when I trained...
Only if the Red [or any other color] Bull you are drinking was not manufactured by Red [etc.] Bull. You can dislike it all you want but that's settled case law. Under what circumstances do you think brand infringement is acceptable, exactly? What if someone in your town opened a shop with an...
This. Trademark and/or copyright infringement isn't determined by money changing hands or not; it's determined by economic loss to the trademark or copyright owner. If Red Bull licenses their logo for decals (they do) then they can make the case that you have caused economic loss to them, as...
