  1. Epson Stylus Pro 10000 error 00010013

MP, What Printertech101 stated is what is in the repair manual. This message appears and printer is stopped when the ink supply pump motor drive home position in the ink supply air system (unit) is not detected within the required time at power on initialization or ink supply. I would check...
  2. Epson T499, T500, etc. Cart Refills

Does anyone have a good understanding of how these ink carts function? I am attempting to refill them, and not having a lot of luck. They have a foil bag inside, and short of puncturing the bag I don't see how to do this. The output valve seems to have a secondary check valve in it, I...
  3. Epson SP 10000

What is this? This is a photo of a print form the SP10000, not sure how well to comes through, but can you see the slight "banding" for a lack of a better word every 4 inches or so for about an inch. It almost looks like ink separation or "shrinkage". What can be causing this? Thanks...
  4. Epson SP 10000

Well, I got all my bugs worked out and it is printing quite swell now. The sad news is the better half is telling me I need to find something smaller, as it really is too large for our office. It's now up for sale... Thanks for everyone's advice and help here. John
  5. Epson SP 10000

Thanks Robert. I did find a damper a couple weeks back and have it installed. I do appreciate you stepping up and offering one thought! I have gotten it fully operational now, although I am having some minor glitches I am still figuring out. The biggest one is the head carriage likes to...
  6. Epson SP 10000

Cancel That! Ruckusman, and everyone else listening to me whine! Thanks for sticking in there with me and all our encouragement! I got it to work today! :) John
  7. Epson SP 10000

I also have a roll of Epson Proofing paper and 19 ink carts, 7 sealed (one of each color and an extra black, the extra black is a sealed CGS refill, the other sealed ones are OEM epson). The unselaed ones are 6 Epson OEM in various states of fill, and 6 CGS Refills in various states of fill...
  8. Epson SP 10000

OK I am selling this thing-- Any interest? John
  9. Epson SP 10000

Thanks for the group info. I am too frustrated anymore tonight. I switched the board back to the original with the same results. Ran more head cleans and tried some suction on the waste tubes. Ink is flowing through the heads on the capping station, it is just not printing anything-- As in...
  10. Epson SP 10000

Argh-- Got the dampers in today, installed, and now I am back to square one... Nothing prints. Ink through feed system and is coming out the cap station on the head cleaning, on all 6 colors, but isn't putting anything on the paper and keeps coming up with a nozzle check error... Ugh. John
  11. Epson SP 10000

Interesting. I admit I have not played with it much at all. I see there are a number of settings now. I am curious is anyone has any reference material or can point me in the right direction as to the best practices on dialing it in. Please keep in mind I am by no means a professional, and...
  12. Epson SP 10000

I guess that is good to hear, sort of. For my use I am hoping it will be adequate, which will only be used for my art, and maybe some Giclee. If when i graduate and actually find work in the industry maybe that spurs something more, and I'll invest in something better, but at this point I am...
  13. Epson SP 10000

Well, join the crowd there-- Lately I seem to be the leader of finding lost causes to throw money after! Yes, Epson certainly does like the idea of planned obsolescence! It is simply amazing to me how unserviceable they tried to make a machine that should be very easily serviced, especially...
  14. Epson SP 10000

ruckusman, No they are Epson carts. I got the printer from an office environment and they had about 2 dozen excess carts that came with it. When I first started having problems I put in a "new" sealed cart to rule that out, so it is OEM ink. Like I said earlier, I did fully disassemble the...
  15. Epson SP 10000

I certainly meant no offense to artbot, nor anyone else here-- Mr. Alldredge, please accept my apologies if you were, as again that was not my mission, I was simply seeking help, and am appreciative for that help. If I haven't worn out my welcome in 3 posts, I do have a few questions again...
  16. Epson SP 10000

So is this forum about the only place to get info on this sort of stuff or is there a better place?
  17. Epson SP 10000

Ruckusman, that was my assessment as well. I think the little "Rubber" is worn out on the yellow one, I did install it the same as the others were... same problem. We'll see if a new one fixes it. I thought of switching dampers around, but don't feel like the mess again today!
  18. Epson SP 10000

Funny. I do think all my tinkering with the damper messed up the valving or something, as it acts a little different than the others (I can inject pressure into the "good" ones and they won't "feed" the head, where the yellow one feeds the head under pressure). So I think the little valve seat...
  19. Epson SP 10000

No, manifold is fine, it is coming from the head surface. I can see it with a flashlight and mirror... Yes, it is messy, Yes I understand your points, no I am not an idiot, but thanks for being concerned. :) John
  20. Epson SP 10000

Ugh-- Ok, So I decided to pull the head out and take a look. I'm getting frustrated now... All came apart OK, and then I separated the "dampers", cleaned them out, and reinstalled everything. The 3001A error is gone, but now the yellow is "Dripping". Could this be caused by a bad damper...
