Figured it out.

Having problems with the cut aligning with the print. Checked user manual but can't seem to find routine for re-alignment. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you know where to get a tech manual? Machine is 6 months old, the techs from Mimaki USA have worked on the first machine, it had some issues and switched it out and the replacement is better but not great.

VanerJ, does it take a tech to adjust the slant? I was running 3641 and was not able to print a good comp line. I did run a comp line on the Hexis material (4 mil) and printed an even comp line. I have noticed that the left side of the machine runs 3 deg C cooler. Mimaki USA says no big deal.

Ironchef, these banding lines are they typical for Mimaki printers? I have heard Roland doesn't have these problems, just asking. I am new this and a bit disappointed. I received samples off a Epson S30670 and they look perfect.

I purchased some Hexis material with better results will also give the 3M a try. Thanks for the input.

Are you actually using Hexis media or just their profile.

We have done a media comp. We have adjusted feed comp while printing. Have tried no less than 10 profiles. Temperatures are 35/35/40, we have adjusted up and down as well with similar results. Would one brand of media run better than other? Oracal 3641G is very popular with good pricing...

Their argument is the JV33 has more pinch rollers to better feed the media. I agree, I thought it was the same with cutter.

Color profile not specific to the media (Elite decal material from Tubelite, but same problem on Oracal 3641G). Will happen on all colors. Most visible on large solid areas.
