Does anyone have some images of how bright the orange and red can be off the CJV 300? Been trying to get good samples from Mimaki and they just print the generic color swatch.
Recently I had a new Ford F 150 come into the shop and had a rough time getting the 3M 1080 to lay cleanly on the roof. We usually start from the back and work forward but it seems we need to work from the middle out to the side so the vinly will tuck into the ridges and not have to be stretched...
So my Edge 2 is acting up. It keeps freezing/ Giving me Data Error 3 after each color. So I'm having to run one color, then restart the job and run the next. This is very frustrating. I've searched for a list of things to try and here is what I've done so far with no success in fixing the issue...
The Summa seems like a good fit but the lack of information about them scares me a bit. Anyone have experience with them? How is there cutting thick material?
I've been doing research now for a few months on what machine upgrade we should do here at the shop. We mainly print motocross decal kits and have been using a Gerber Edge (we have had two die on us and are kind of over the edge) and have been out sourcing our larger stuff. There are three...
Anyone using a Summa DC 4SX for printing motocross decals? We have a gerber edge we have been using but it seems the extra width from the Summa would be very helpful but wanted to hear from users.
We do a bunch of helmet wraps and use Substance 6mil gloss vinyl combined with there 10 mil ultra curve laminate. They turn out great and hold up really well. However we do them as model specific kits.
After speaking with Gerber and doing some alignment tests, they said I have something else going. So I found another Edge 2 that had a bad power supply and swapped the power supply and got it printing. However I'm getting some issues with the image printing. Looks like the bottom .25" of the job...
Anyone seen this? Tech Support says that it is uneven pressure on the contact area and told me to loosen up a few bolts and shut the printer a few times "aggressively".
Well our Gerber Edge gave up the ghost and blew a pixel. Gerber said due to its age its UN-repairable. This leaves us with a mountain of Gerber foils and media but since I've been wanting to upgrade to large format feel it might be the right time to get a Roland VS series machine rather than buy...
As for Friday my edge started not printing in a spot. It leaves a white line straight down the print. Does this mean my print head is going out?
I've cleaned it a few times with alcohol wipes but that has not helped.
I print black as an overprint and it prints fine but does leave a notable...
Best bet is to develop some type of templates to cover the helmet, and unless it's a very popular high end helmet it's not worth it. At our shop we've started to sort through the most common and make a template that basically puzzles together so most people can install them. So far we've had a...
