  1. Windup rollers

Have not used one. I came across it when looking for other materials. I contacted that company re: conductive foils, and they sent me a video link to something else, which also now led me to this, which shows the rewinder in use ...
  2. Conductive foil?

Resistance is approx 5 ohms, but I could not other specs than that yet. Mike at Zeronine (who handles this stuff), was out the door on vacation, so will email me. But for switches, 5ohms per foot/inch or even mm is still low enough. If the length I need works out to even a few thousand ohms...
  3. Windup rollers

    Do you mean this?... http://gerberprinters.com/rewinders.html
  4. Conductive foil?

This link also brings up another cool material called Digitel. I'm inquiring...
  5. Conductive foil?

Printable LED's? Hmmm... if we can make foils of gallium, etc. What about printable semiconductors?
  6. Conductive foil?

I'm thinking a flex circuit as part of a biz card with some LED's on it etc. Perhaps integrate a card-edge connector into this that can plug into a USB port? I'll prob need to laminate with something else for rigidity, but this would open up possibilities that I'd otherwise find significantly...
  7. Conductive foil?

Is there such a thing? I can think of some very fun uses for this (since I'm an electronics type of person). Thanks
  8. Printing multiple layers

One more note is that I'm using Omega 2.6 with this printer (FX). I know I need the latest version to get the full FX resolution, but is there some other software feature I am missing in 2.6 that could be causing this? Thanks.
  9. Printing multiple layers

Pat, I assume you have the metallic silver adhesive on the clear/printed vinyl side. Then how do you adhere the lexedge ... with another layer of 3M adhesive or similar?
  10. Printing multiple layers

I was able to get to the printer this weekend. The white text was set to overprint (icon with highest temp setting), but the black was not. I now changed the black to overprint, but got the same results. It seems that the software chain is setup to do the correct thing (print a solid black...
  11. Printing multiple layers

Not sure... will have to check when I can get back to the printer.
  12. Printing multiple layers

Hi all, I got a bit of 10-mil LexEdge II to play with and thought I'd make myself a cool business card, but results are not great. I printed red text, white text, and then solid black over that. Around the edges of the red and white text, some black is missing. It's especially noticeable in...
  13. Noob with FX

Thanks. I found that TPH info, but what do the numbers mean -- head up and head down? Also, the print time is resettable, so how does one know the actual "mileage" on this machine?
  14. Noob with FX

Material was wiped, but we weren't sure what parts of the printer to clean or with what, so had only brushed it lightly. We have since got the manual online. Also, the original material we had (which I wrote about above) was made by Avery, but we since got some oracal material to play with and...
  15. Noob with FX

Pretty much. Between myself and someone else who owns this printer, we asked questions about S/W upgrades, material choices/options, and how to check the print hours. Gerber wanted the registered info of the owner (which we didn't have as it was not yet fully purchased), and serial # (which we...
  16. Noob with FX

Hi all, New here, and new to using a gerber printer (or any sign-type printer for that matter). I'm playing with an Edge FX and GSX Plus and I have a lot of questions. I expect I'll find the answers to most of these as I keep reading/learning, but some are itching me and hoping someone can help...
