I moved the damper/ink line and the drop stays in the original channel. Does that automatically mean print head? It is printing fine when it has ink to print... One cleaning cycle brings the channel comppletely back almost everytime...

I'm having serious drop out issues. After about 4 feet of print, one of the black channels completely dies. I've tried changing the damper, and changing the capping station. Ink flow seemed to be good when I primed the damper, and the channel comes back after one cleaning cycle almost everytime...

Thanks for the advice. I'm not exactly sure how to downgrade firmware though. I'm sure I can find it online somewhere. I just read a Tech Note from the JV33 Bible that was posted in this thread, it says to upgrade the firmware. Did Mimaki change this head check back?

Had a head go bad this morning in our JV33-160. When I tried to switch out the head I got and error 202 "Device Construction". I thought maybe the replacement head was bad, but I pput it in another JV33 and it works fine. I put the original head (dead) back in the machine, and it boots normally...

Everywhere I look I read that Caldera has a VDP option, but I can't seem to find how to use it. It's supposed to be part of the Adobe PDF printing engine. Has anyone tried or been succesful?
