  1. HP Latex 310 Needing Service

Buy the service manual from Sign-in-china. Buy parts from digiprint supplies. Make repairs. Back in business. Spend the 2k on something else!
  2. Gap between jobs (S60600)

Is there a setting to adjust the gap between print jobs? We recently bought a SureColor S60600 and are getting a 10-12in gap between jobs. It appears to roll the substrate out in order to complete drying the job, but then doesn't roll back after drying like our HP does.
  3. HP 831 Latex Ink / STS

I have had a 310 for about six years. Using 3rd party for 5 of the 6. Used STS and now Budget. Happy with both. I have other printers with either original and 3rd party so the ink issue is not new to me.
  4. How do you guys keep track of orders/jobs currently in your shop?

Been using it for 6 years and can’t imagine how we managed without it. Shake my head in disbelief at some of the methods people use when relief is so close. Very adaptable software and the support has been outstanding. They want suggestions too on how to improve.
  5. How do you guys keep track of orders/jobs currently in your shop?

I am very surprised at the difficult systems some have hobbled together. So glad we started using signtracker about eight years ago. Our business now handles about 120 jobs at any one time in different stages from writeup to complete. Tracker has let us keep up with so many steps that just...

  7. Cutter/trimmer vs knife and straight edge

Keencut or Logan are good cutters for tabletop use. Like them both. The Logan is less expensive but Keencut has the reputation.
  8. .040 Lic. Plate Blanks

    Try signwarehouse. Good source
  9. Blade depth changing during cutting.

Likely not the blade but a worn cutting strip.
  10. ROLL-X or CWT questions

We got our CWT from The Sign Outlet Store. Could not be happier with it.
  11. UPS vs. FedEx?

They have charged that premium for sometime now. I recall seeing at least a year ago on our invoice. Odd handling round on a conveyor belt.
  12. UPS vs. FedEx?

FedEx uses contract companies with low wage delivery people. UPS has career people with lots of supervision. Not even a toss-up; it’s UPS by a mile.
  13. Where do you place your grommets on pole banners?

We make them often. Place your grommet in each outside corner of the banner inside the stich of the pocket. Do not grommet on stich or in the pocket.
  14. Considering Panel Saws

I have had both. Safety Speed Cut is by far better! Forget the SawTrax if you cut ACM.
  15. Workflow software, what works for you?

We also use it. Had it 3 years and wonder how we ever ran without it. Extremely flexible for use in naming categories, following job progression, ease of use by shop staff, great customer service, constant innovation to better the platform. I can honestly say that Sign Tracker has made us money!
  16. Solution for "magnetics", on aluminum trucks

We thought the same thing the first time. Moisture releases the suction at higher driving speeds and it peels back. Fine for stationary anything.
  17. We're using Claris FileMaker to track production internally. AMA

I can’t say enough good thing about Signtracker. Subscription based. Editable categories. Superb customer service. Reliable. Keeps jobs organized and moving. Used it several years and have wondered how we made it before. Never have paper trails and folders again. All workstations have...
  18. Have you had issues with the adhesion of the ink on coroplast?

Overspray on the LED lamps caused this on our flatbed. Cleaned them well and fixed problem.
  19. 0010 Scan motor error

I get this scan motor error all the time but its only after the print is done. So how to I prevent it from happening?
  20. Need Help Roland LEJ640 does not measure media correctly

This issue has been resolved. The sensor was somehow loose so I tightened it and that got the machine working correctly.
