  1. Roland XR640 White ink option

It depends on what you are using it for. It only really suits anyone using transparent media for wrapping or signage.
  2. Ergosoft Posterprint RIP Optimisation

Hi all. I recently decided our sole computer here used for ripping needed some more oomph as our standard time of ripping files for print on our XJ-640s was averaging at about 2 hours per 50 metres depending on how many lines of the PDF needed to be rasterized. I have managed to cut this...
  3. Why is Print Quality so low?

Looks like how I print. Except I print on paper, with water based inks, especially for sublimation purposes. My initial thoughts say this isn't a printer based issue, but a profile based issue in your RIP. Have you ever been able to print without those dots?
  4. Flooded captop

I know, blame it on our crappy weather all year round :Australia Printing is pretty much back to normal. Replacement caps ordered. Hopefully it's all smooth sailing thereafter (doubt it though!) Thank you all!
  5. Flooded captop

Just did this. Got this. Still not convinced it's fixed though, just reassures me that the head is fine. I not think it might be the captop.
  6. Flooded captop

No such thing as a stupid question in this field. But no, it's entirely empty. Is it possible to syringe cleaning solution through a captop just incase there is a blockage? As it is a 1-2 day wait for new captops here.
  7. Flooded captop

Sharx: Did this yesterday. Took the entire cap off and removed the line to check to blockages or leaking air. Didn't seem to be an issue. cha88: Thought this could be a likely scenario, but the captop is only 3 months old, and pulls ink through with a syringe perfectly, just floods for some...
  8. Flooded captop

Anyone ever had this issue? The captop starts flooding with ink and then causes bubbles to for on the heads, in turn causing banding. I have explored various avenues - New dampers, checked manifolds for cracks, none - Sucked ink through cap with a syringe, no air (indicates no leak in...
  9. Headstrike on an XJ-640 - Blew a fuse, and now can't print Magenta

Self solved: Sheet cut issue: Needed to be re-initialized. No biggie. If anyone doesn't know how to do this on a Roland it is L+U+P+ON which lets you reinitialize the caps and then set the cutter. First you line the caps up with the heads, then you move the head carriage to the very left hand...
  10. Headstrike on an XJ-640 - Blew a fuse, and now can't print Magenta

Hi all, first post, I'll try and make it a good one. Had a head strike last week because we were sent a box of media which was different to what we usually used and the head carriage decided to take it's anger out on the media guide. Some how shorted the #3 head fuse, and momentarily killed...
