  1. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

10mm coro usually isn't Corona treated/digital print ready. If the ink is cured but chips off/doesn't adhere to the media, the issue is the coro. If the coro is treated and still doesn't adhere, I would question how old the stock is. You can try cleaning the led lens, to see if it helps, if...
  2. Old flatbed

Shouldve added more details. I'm pretty sure it's a 500Q/Q500, which would be a 4x8 with gen 4 heads, which should be single channel heads. CET never made 16head/4 row Q5s. Btw, hey Sean! Hope all is well.
  3. Old flatbed

Would require 4 heads minimum. If I recall correctly, they are single channel heads.
  4. Bad UV printer and taking advantage of the Capital may screwup our business

From the look of it, that printer is manufactured by Flora. So that is normal. If you don't have white ink and if the inks are not too agressive, you can turn down the clean spray/misting to lower this overspray of ink. Will it fry the board or cause them to overheat ehhh likely not. I'd be...
  5. Vanguard bulb chiller

    It's a failed flow sensor
  6. Anybody own a Digitech....I has questions about printing on glass

No adhesion promoter at all. I will say that the ink did not have as good of flexibility as other inks did but just a small difference. The white ink did not have flexibility at all but they may have corrected that by now. I did test other aggressive inks with adhesion promoter during that time...
  7. Anybody own a Digitech....I has questions about printing on glass

I have not had the opportunity work on or run a digitech but I have tested their ink set on other manufacturer's equipment. They could've changed ink since but about a year ago I tested on 2yr old coroplast, acrylic, random glass pieces, and cabinet laminate/formica. The adhesion was by far some...
  8. Do you think a Vanguard needs an air scrubber?

Good suggestion here from Bruce. I do believe you spoke to one of the VDDPS support team member and they have lowered your Mist settings. This will minimize the ink misting you are seeing.
  9. Need Help Cet color x-press 100

\ Other then this error, what issues are you having? Are you not able to run the printer or access the Control Panel? What error comes up when trying to access the control panel?
  10. Need Help CET x-press 500 - Negative Pressure pump

Is that how the pumps are currently plumbed? If so, they are plumbed incorrectly. Your Manometer show you being in positive pressure. If you purge the heads, does the pressure go to the negative or will it rise towards the positive? What happens if you try to increase the pressure using the...
  11. CET white ink questions.

The printer may be set up for CMYKW but as long as the file was ripped with a CMYK profile, it will not recognize any white data that may be there. If you want to disable the white, than in the Test and Calibration section of the controller on the lower right of that page, there is section for...
  12. CET Flatbed gloss banding issues

There shouldn't be any reasons why you are unable to do 9 pass Bidirectional printing. Even if you had to do solid or gradient prints. If its not too much to ask, what ink series are you on? It could be the ink itself, if it is not curing properly or banding. Another thing to try would be to...
  13. CET Flatbed gloss banding issues

A few questions: 1. What are the print settings? Resolution, screen, speed, pass count? 2. You are using LEDs, correct? Have you checked to make sure the LEDs are staying on or that there are not any modules that are out? Maybe the lens needs to be cleaned? 3. Is this only on solid colors?
  14. Flatbed Gradient Issues

Sounds more than likely profile related. I would re-linearize the profiles first.
  15. Communication problem affecting print image on CET Flatbed

Does this happen on certain files only? The prints that have this issue, are you able to run that file successfully without having to reprocess the file? As for the nozzle tests you attached, it looks like some of them are printing upside down or was there some testing being done when they were...
  16. CET Flatbed printer issues....

Sounds like the cables or pins in the connectors to the crash bar limit switch may be bad. You can apply a jumper to where the limit switch's connector attaches to its cable and see if that resolves the issue.
  17. Ink not adhering to panels

Adhesion promoter would definitely help, since the substrate may not be UV ready. I've seen some UV ready substrates needing adhesion promoter too. In your case it seems the bond of the laminate to ink, is stronger than the bond of the ink to substrate, thus allowing the ink to peel right off...
  18. CET Printhead won't heat up

Those print heads have a small ribbon cable on each side that heat the print head. If they are loose or not connected, it will not heat the head properly. You can try reseating the ribbon cable on each side. If that doesn't work, than the heater in the head is no good.
  19. Windows 10 - Free Upgrade - freely installed

Running into this now. Windows 10 is now a recommended update and will upgrade if auto update is set. Its become a pain, as most other software were built around 7. Most software companies will not make Windows 10 compatible drivers until 7 is no longer made or supported. Same thing as when they...
  20. Are these results typical for UV prints?

Looks like vertical banding? If so, could be calibration related or loose belt.
