Thanks Fred, If I would have thought a little bit, I guess I could have measured the width of the ribbon.

Can someone tell me why I can only print a max 11.8 inches wide using Omega 5 is this limited by the cutter? It sure looks as though it should be able to do at least 13 inches.

So I have an edge II and I have purchased Gerbers USB cable and trying to use Flexi 8.1 The USB cable installs fine on Win7 64 bit. I look under hardware and its labeled as a virtual printer USB001 I add the Edge in production manager with that port and for the life of me I cannot get...

I have had the covers off and the ribbon cable is very hard and almost brittle where it connects to the print head. I should have a new cable by next Tuesday.

On the print head cable? The one I have is a ribbon.

I'm thinking it may be the Dancer Bars. The don't seem to want to spin. But I am doing a test block print so the entire print area is in use except a 2" area that is not working at the moment. Hopefully this will be fixed when I get the new print head data cable.

Got another question When I run a test print from the EdgeII with the hidden button and the machine offline, the machine goes to warming up and stays there. Then if I open the cover all the way it beeps and then I shut it and hit online it will begin to print. Any clue what would cause this...

I have a good XP Laptop but dont have the huge parallel connection for the printer and not to mention the Lisence dongle.

Cool! I can do that. Do you you see any advantage in the newer software. I have a larger Eco-solv printer and will just be using the Edge for small decals. Also have you adapted any of your equipment to run on USB? Thanks

OK, So I picked up the Edge II along with a GSx Plus Plotter, 50 or more rolls of foils, several rolls of vinyl, an old computer (Win-98 old), tones of software discs, and two license keys. So my next question. The software and keys I got with this purchase are Omega 1.56 and Graphix Advantage...

Well I picked up the printer and its an edge II I did a print test (solid block) and there is still a solid block of 2" not printing. Any chance you have any dealings with this print head data cable?

Thanks Guys. I guess I will have to go and try and run the machine and check it out. The owner has no idea how to run it.

I dont know. Its a setup that is for sale. I thought it would be odd that there is 3" of the printhead just dead. I know usually it will just be a single pixel or so that does not print. This leads me to think there is something else wrong and possibly just operator error.

Anyone ever seen this many pixels blown in a row? Or possibly something else.
