Sorry I kind of understand what I should be doing but are you able to give me a little more detail, what am I looking for? What could or couldn't be a sign of the problem? Would this be checking the ink flow as an issue, or the head components?
Hey,
I have a VS640 CMYKLcLmWhMt and suddenly all of the prints are ruined about 2min into the print because the Magenta drops out. It will print the nozzle check and all other tests perfectly fine, but when printing an actual job that has a solid colour that contains magenta (dark blue) it...
I don't believe there has yet been a suggestion to use a laminator to mount, and if there had been it still was not relevant to what I said. Neither is the substrate cutting methods. Not only that, it wasn't the question. The question reads the substrate material available is already cut to...
I feel for you mate, I know the forever endless amount of time and effort that goes in to creating a website. Especially if you did the entire thing yourself.
Without knowing until now I sorta kinda nearly copied what you have in a way.....
I bought these domains back in September, I was doing...
It is kind of obvious that anyone would shear cut a full sheet, screen print, flatbed and even outsource but I'm pretty sure the question was a "this is what I've got, how would you go about it" approach. It isn't really that hard to work out from the question that these other methods weren't...
I promise you will never look back. I actually time tested myself today and knocked out 37 signs that were 300 x 225mm and they were on various substrates like poly, aluminium and corflute (correx) in 1hr 5mins =)
Once you get the knack of it you will wonder why you hadn't been doing it the...
It doesn't get easier....
I make all my safety/parking signs like this....
1) Make the artwork 2mm bigger so 225 x 300mm would be 227 x 302mm
2) Print the signs with margin marks (VersaWorks)
3) On a landscape sign trim the left and bottom edge, so the margin marks are trimmed off. Portrait...
I would love to know how you came to this conclusion! Have you tried buying genuine Canon ink for the imagePROGRAF printers such as the iPF8100? Have a look at the price per cartridge then you can multiply that by 12 and it cost 1/3 of what the entire printer costs new!
Hey, We've got a new Roland VS640 arriving on Monday and I am planning to get a dedicated PC for ripping etc just for the printer. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations or particular specs they did/didn't have and wish they did on their versaworks PC? Cheers
:U Rock:
What an awesome thread to read, it is funny that I'm on the other side of the world to most of you yet I can relate 100% to what has been said here! Customers needing everything yesterday is just the nature of the beast
Well said! There are two little things to keep in the back of your mind in order to stay on track.... 1) I'll believe it when the money's in the bank 2) So long as the outcome is income. I wish you all the best in your new shop
