  2. Help!!!!

Pull the black head cover and look at the black feed lines. See ink? If one is clear then you have a leak. The feed lines after time will get brittle and crack. Any small leak will cause the head to loose prime. The damper is next, then the capping station and pump. The pump must be able to pull...

  7. JV3 cartridge chips - question

Tricks the printer into thinking the cartridge is always full. Problem is, don't run out of ink. It will try to use the empty cartridge to prime the heads. Another question: How well do the blank empty cartridges work? The Mimaki carts have a bag in them so that they collapse as being used. Do...

  10. Are the Daige Quickmounts really that bad?

Make a set of rollers to guide the board into and out of the mounter. The weight of the board makes it drag on the deck. Adding support will allow it to roll right through.
  11. Are the Daige Quickmounts really that bad?

Toss the sled out. You don't need it. First oil the tension screws. They get tight and you'll need fine adjustments. Mount a piece of metal conduit directly behind the top pinch roller so that your laminate feeds under it. This makes the lam roll wrap around more and helps keep it straight...

  18. Mimaki jv3 printing on glossy banner?

Load the material from the back and release the pich rollers. Goto the front and release the pinch rollers. Pull the media until you hit the next feed roll catch. This helps you get the media square. Release the pinch rollers. Make sure that when the print starts the media passes the fans. If it...
  19. mega ink plug n print ink

Ask the Mimaki Yahoo usersgroup. Many like the HighLord inks, some like triangle. I'm sticking with the OEM SS2 until someone can show me why thier's is better. I like quality and consistancy, not just cheap. Also the SS2 is the lowest toxic ink that's still solvent. Eco-Sol inks are not as...
  20. Encad 600e problem

Pull it apart and reseat all the cables. Clean that paper sensor under the heads. Pull the control panel and clean the buttons contacts. Perhaps a button got some ink in it and it's shorting out the controls. Pull all the heads then power off and back on without the heads to see if the problem...
