I had this problem and it was my network connection to the printer. I put another network card in my rip computer and ran the printer on its own line and never had a problem since.
Mutoh VJ-1624 Eco Solvent Printer with 1L Bulk Ink system as well. It runs aftermarket ink without any issues. I have a smart card programmer to go with along with source for ink for $130 Liter. At the moment it is in need of a maintenance station but isn't hard to put in about $400 to buy one...
Give hp a call. I had this same problem. I would change both print heads and the nozzle test would be great, then after a few days back to the same test plot as pictured. And my prints almost looked like magenta overspray. I called hp up and sent pictures as they requested, they sent some...
Usually I get this when there is ripples in the material. To much heat or if I let the material sit in the printer overnight. If you watch by the rollers you will probably see the vinyl isn't completely flat.
They have been this way for a while. They support the current version and the I think the year before. Anything older they will force you to update. They do this with the payroll service as well.
I had a graphtec fc7000 and I thought it was a great plotter. Got a d140 and love how accurate it is. I have recently done a 18' print, lam and contour cut and it was dead on for plotting the whole print. Something I would have never tried with the graphtec.
I have bulk ink system on my epson r280 and run the crap out of it. It has been a couple years on having the bulk ink on it. Haven't had problems with it unless it sits too long but nothing a couple head cleanings and it clears up. I wouldn't have one of these without a bulk ink on it, saves...
Just had this problem with my friends vp-540. It was a hit and miss with the lines in the print and it didn't matter what profile or ripping. I thought is was the rip so I installed my copy of flexi to give it a shot and same thing would happen. Seem to happen more if the ink coverage was...
I started using them in August and haven't had any problem as far as the ink quality, just getting the smart cards to read from time to time. I haven't noticed any difference, no change in the smell of the ink compared to others that I have heard.
I am not sure then. I get my cartridges from solventcartridges.com, I believe they are a merchant member on here. Their support has been fantastic for me. They have sent me a programmer and blank cards in case I have any problems with the cards I can program another.
Check the placement of the smart card. I have this problem from time to time when I put in a new cartridge it will tell me not original, pull the cartridge pull the smart card and re position it sometimes just 1/8" is all it takes. You can check the placement with one your original cartridges...
I am having the same problem with my printer too and xerox. Every cartridge lately has been a problem and it is hurting my production. Looking for a solution too.
I used to have a commercial location but after finding this house on the foreclosure market I couldn't past it up. I have an 1/2 acre with the house and this shop. 900 Sq for the office / work area.
