Thanks you for the advice, I am a certified graphic designer. They just dropped wraps from the course because they thought it was to specific. This is my own truck so Its available all the time and I appreciate all the advice. Its very interesting hearing the different views on practices, I was...
Awesome I thank you for your input and great advice, As far as designing I'm good with the use of the programs. Where I lack the training is in the wrap output. The reason I mentioned Rastor image is because I wanted to use a fill as a background. That said this would be my second wrap, I'm...
So you are designing at full size? Do you use full 300dpi? I really want the print to look good that is key. Im chalking it up to learning but I would like to save on having to reprint. Most of the videos that I have watched they use one full print from front to back on cars, I get that the top...
Im going to try my hand at printing and installing my own vehicle wrap. My biggest issue is the basics of making the file. Its a 2006 f250 156 wheelbase super crew. I know how to design its just the file set up. I want awesome graphics. From my readings guys are taking a template at 20%...
I did do a powerful clean, and then another manual clean. I performed a reprint and I do have cmyk red. Client said it's orange but that's better than brown. This was the second manual clean that I performed that day. After the reprint my magenta cartridge needed to be replaced, thinking maybe...
Actually this was a colour match of swatches I was doing, Pantone 186c it looked way off so we decided to revert to the cmyk swatch I had printed for samples. No change to file, I'm not sure if versa updated in the background it's set to manual. Printer is printing decent pattern and cmyk test...
This file was already ripped I just hit reprint, I'm looking to give more input but I'm at a loss as to where setting might get changed. Because this file was already printed, along with other similar files all are off that I have tested. The last thing I printed were blue magnets and they...
I'm not exactly sure what has changed or where to find this setting but I agree it's probably something simple. My area is prone to browouts even though this printer has a ups supply connected. Under quality setting halftone is set to dither, interpolation is nearest neighbor and direction is bi...
I'm actually trying to use Pantone and cmyk equivalent. However this 7 colour swatch is cmyk. It's the same file, same vinyl etc. even the black is lighter. I will try to enter a special colour but was wondering how to do it. I have printed versa colors but turned away from them because...
How do I switch the colour in versa works, I didn't switch anything and I have just left my printer unplugged. I'm trying to get rid of any possibility that it's corrupted. I have tried 3m profile and it printed the same.
Roland sp 540 v - printing on oracle 3651- using versa works
I have done some colour match prints for an upcoming job (this week). however I just went to change some colours and I realized everything is off. I have cleaned machine, switched profiles, switched medias printed same files etc. all...

I just purchased one of these printers and it went upstairs and for a trailer ride. previous owner and myself did not know how to lock the head so we installed bubble wrap on either side to take up what little play there was.

First let me say thanks to all the members with old posts on cj-500 to sc-500 machines. I recently revived one from the dead. It had been sitting for over 6months with ink in it. Roland dealer said it would cost 5 to 8 k to get it rolling again! I fixed it for $150 with all of the great advice...
