I am selling the following equipment:
A like new Summa D140 that has less than an hours cutting time on it. It's in like new condition, in the original shipping container.
It sells for $4,900.00 new. Asking $3600.00 plus shipping
A Keencut 104" Javeline with work table. Asking $900.00 with...
Duratrans?
That art is so lovely it screams for a Duratrans.
If there are no MM's that can do it then...
Have him contact a pro color lab in Chicago.
If there is none... Duggal in NY has been around forever and could knock it out on one of their Lightjets painlessly.
My 2 cents
I use a "BowTie" to tape the release liner to the take-up. When I'm done I remove the take-up and grab the roll near the bow-tie and reverse twist till the bow-tie detaches. then I slide the whole roll off the take-up.
This leaves me with a nice clean roll of liner FWIW:)
Hi rubo,
When did you do the conversion?
Did you convert a water based machine or a solvent machine?
If water based where did you get the heater?
Is the required temp still as high as version 1 of the inks?
How is the ink gamut? Rich, soft?
How is it to maintain?
How is it working for you?
Does...
1.)What brand and size of laminator do you have/use
AGL Maxim dual heat 62"
2.)How much did you pay for it?
@23k
3.)Was the cost worth it to you (either high or low)
Yes, it's an extremely well thought out and robust machine.
I have a JV4 160 that I have been considering cutting loose.
It is in great shape but I added a HP a couple of years ago and I have become smitten with it.
Before I let it go I wondered if a solvent conversion is worth looking at or if it is a "Bucket of Hurt"
I need to make this move today...
Try Rob Earle. He really knows his stuff and will probably be able to help you over the phone... 603-827-3366

He may not be opened tomorrow if the world ends.
Good luck
Try to repair disc permissions. If a ton were repaired restart the computer. If it restarts then see how it behaves. Clone the drive ASAP. If your drive is less than 4 or5 years old you might want to consider getting Alsofts' Disk Warrior, a great utility that repairs directory damage and...
OK this is probably dumb on my part but have you run a Media Compensation test?
