  1. Inexpensive Plotter Paper

That is what I was looking for :) Would it work for a solvent printer? I assume with low ink coverage (it's just text and line drawings), it would be okay? Nevermind, Epson tech said the ink would eat through it. I don't really want to find out for myself...
  2. Inexpensive Plotter Paper

Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist, but I've only found media as low as $.16/sq. ft. I see rolls of inexpensive bond paper on Amazon, but I'm not sure what's the lowest quality we can go with the eco solvent printer. I don't want to ruin it by running crap through there! The...
  3. Inexpensive Plotter Paper

Of all the things I have for my printer (Epson S70), we don't have "cheap paper". Specifically I'm looking for something for printing architectural blueprints that is inexpensive and compatible with our eco solvent inks. Everything we have now is too pricy to be used for this type of printing...
  4. Bracket for signs on metal awning

I'm trying to remember the name of a product I saw in a sign catalog recently... and have since forgot, of course. It was a bracket that could be used for mounting a solid sign onto raised metal sheeting. I am thinking of something that was two words and they both started with 'R" maybe... dang...
  5. Font Help

Any guesses on this? I'm not too good at this game :)
  6. Just how durable is a floor graphic?

I THINK it may be the other way around. I believe the finish line is permanent BUT a new graphic is put up every year. There is a painted finish line below the graphic, obviously. The starting line, I think is repainted by hand every year. I don't have sound right now, so I can't confirm...
  7. UPS boycott

Hah, you're on your own there. I like UPS. FedEx, on the other hand, delivers "The World on Time" around 4 PM every day. Absolutely useless to me.
  8. Flat Cone Stencil

Thanks Wayne! I'll see if I can accomplish that with my limited Illustrator knowledge. You certainly understood the question though! I was having the hardest time picturing exactly what these stencils would look like flat... now I see from what you posted. It's pretty handy to be able to do it...
  9. Flat Cone Stencil

I've had this one sitting at my desk for a few months.... I have all the tools to do it, just don't know how to make the dang template! Does anyone know how to take the exact measurements/angles one would get from here: http://craig-russell.co.uk/demos/cone_calculator/ And make a template for...
  10. Double sided banner troubles

Well the second side is coming off now, and so far, no problems. I can't believe all I had to do was let it sit overnight. I'm not good at letting things sit, I like to get stuff done right away. Thanks everyone for the ideas/suggestions. If I run into any more trouble, I have some more ideas...
  11. Double sided banner troubles

Not knowing any better about the headaches involved in producing a double sided banner, I'd rather sell a double sided banner than two banners. I just prefer the finished product of a double sided banner vs. two separate banners. Again, we're new at this, and maybe just don't know any better...
  12. Subdivision Wall Sign

I LOVE that Highland Lake sign! Very nice!
  13. Double sided banner troubles

What sort of heat settings do you use? I'm at 96/96/102 right now. Had it higher, but worried it might be making things too soft. I like the tip about not using the take up reel. I will probably wait til tomorrow afternoon to print the second side of this one, I am printing the first side right...
  14. Double sided banner troubles

What if I'm stubborn and want to do it my way? :Big Laugh Just kidding... But serious question - are there disadvantages to that method? Obviously it would weigh more. When you do a banner like that, how would you join them together? Tape all around, or just grommets? Are there any concerns...
  15. Double sided banner troubles

That is what I was wondering... So when you do this, do you just roll it up and not print on that media for a while? Or do you cut it and let it sit off the roll? I think that may be my issue, but I guess I'm posting here to rule out my own error first.
  16. Double sided banner troubles

Here are some pictures to illustrate my struggles: Nothing major to see here, at least nothing you can see from this picture: Here's one of the marks, as you can see it is following the "wrinkle" in the media (left side): Another mark on the other side (right): This is outside of the...
  17. Double sided banner troubles

I've had a few double sided banners in the two weeks, and it seems like I just can't seem to get it right :banghead: I am using a Sihl double sided banner, I believe 3118 SureBet Vinyl Banner 2-sided - 18 oz matte, on an Epson Surecolor S70670 It seems like I can get the first side printed out...
  18. Looking for metal logo sign

I am looking for a vendor who can do a sign like this, final size 36", in two spot colors. I believe the order is currently for one single sign. Please provide a bid and more information about your company/work via PM if this is something you can do! Thanks!
  19. Latest Gadget.

Just got a Garmin Virb to record my boring life, thinking about picking up a Garmin Fenix 2. I'm a GPS whore.
  20. Facebook Shill

Personally, as a picky consumer and someone who enjoys using social media, likes mean something to me. When I was looking to get the windows tinted on my new car, I looked extensively for a shop that appeared to do good work. I didn't want to go to the "subs and dubz" shop that is local (my...
