  1. HP L25500 error 86:01 on left side of printer, no media loaded

The belt is ok. What's odd about this whole thing is it moves successfully all the way right (if it doesn't start there to begin with) and then all the way left before throwing the error. It makes it to the end and hits the stop on the left side.
  2. HP L25500 error 86:01 on left side of printer, no media loaded

I believe there is a scan axis check. I need to find the service manual so I can figure out how to boot in to diagnostic mode. I've seen references to it online, but have never had to do it.
  3. HP L25500 error 86:01 on left side of printer, no media loaded

Ok, when I get back up there again, I'll give it a thorough wipe with Isopropyl alcohol and some swabs. I just can't for the life of me figure out how it can get to the end of the scan axis and throw the error.
  4. HP L25500 error 86:01 on left side of printer, no media loaded

It goes all the way to the left side near as I can tell. As soon as it makes contact with the end on the left, that's when I get the error. There's no stop? Does it use the encoder to determine how far to travel?
  5. HP L25500 error 86:01 on left side of printer, no media loaded

Hi Everyone, It's been a long time since I posted on Signs 101! I just moved my L25500 in my enclosed trailer, and after I put it in its new home, it gives me an 86:01 error on startup both with media loaded and unloaded. The scan axis seems to move freely and it will scan to the right side...
  6. Gandi 3150x2

It's probably not the head. It's likely a pixel processor board, or another interface. Start at the PC and work up, swap ethernet interfaces first, then work your way up to eventually swapping the print cables/heads. Often times just re-flashing the firmware on the boards fixes these problems.
  7. Combination Engraver / Router units.

We have a few Multicam CNC machines and use them with the techno braille insertion tool with great success. We do most of the engraving type features we do on our laser cutter. Proper rotary engravers have a "nose cone" which follows the surface of the substrate to compensate for slight...
  8. Laying down 210 Lam

I understand, I started as a one man show and while a good laminator is easy to run, it's expensive and it does take up a lot of space. I was lucky enough to score my GBC used at a bargain price and I have it to this day and it gets used daily. When I find equipment or resources that would...
  9. Laying down 210 Lam

We mix laminate/substrate brands all the time, just don't mix calendered vs cast. Use what you like. I believe Mactac makes some airegress clear films that might work as a laminate in a pinch and would be very easy to apply. If you find yourself doing this a lot a laminator will pay for...
  10. Can a Flatbed print on this

In our shop we do a fair amount of work on brushed aluminum effect alupanel, it is difficult to get the color dialed in. I would CNC after you print. If you can find a shop that can do both in house it is the way to go.
  11. Lenticulars with UV flatbeds

I'd be interested in finding out more about this as well. I know people have done them with Jetis like ours, but am unfamiliar with the process. We have a customer interested in a bunch of them.
  12. how big is your facitily

22,000 square feet. Started in my parents garage in 2004 when I was just out of college, moved to a 900 square foot unheated space with no windows or plumbing, then moved to a 3,000 square foot lace mill and then to our new space 3 years ago. I thought we would never outgrow it and now we are...
  13. Show your rides?

    Race SV and Street Ducs.
  14. Firewire / IF20 issues with a JV3

Hi All, We fried the firewire board on our JV3 when one of our operators tripped on the cable mangled the end and plugged it back in. We got an IF20 error as soon as the machine and computer would try to communicate and onyx's port scan would not show the JV3 connected. We replaced the...
  15. Onyx 10.2 and VideoNet Driver

Just for future reference, they do need crossover cables. Don't have a UVR anymore but printed with one for years. It's still alive and kicking in MO at another shop. Good, underrated machines and money makers with coro and foam core.
  16. Custom cut Signabond or Dibond

Routing Dibond, omegabond, econopanel etc. is about the easiest thing in the world to route. I would find another local vendor because anyone should be able to do this no problem. We pretty much have a multicam dedicated to cutting dibond at all times.
  17. Large screenprinting

I am working on a several thousand piece POP job which we would normally do on our flatbeds but... It's just one color and it needs to be really flat and perfect. I am looking for recommendations for a screen printer who can handle larger sized pieces (larges is 24"x72") on .030 styrene...
  18. Looking For A CNC Router

Buy an AXYZ. I bought a multicam used from Multicam East for a not insignificant 5 digit number and they left us to the wolves with the machine. It was whooped mechanically (needed new racks, rails, lead screws), the main board was fried so I converted it to mach 3 using an ethernet smooth...
  19. CG-130fx gone mad

Hi Gang, We've owned a CG-130fx since new in 2005. In addition to it's normal duties, we often pen plot our installation templates. Recently, it started plotting everything skewed. It is not the material slipping, the x axis just advances while the carrige slides when it is not supposed...
  20. Blastout blueprints and templates

Hi Gang, I'm looking for the cheapest option to blast out 60" wide monochromatic prints for use as templates for drilling holes and printing plans/blueprints. We can't spare the time on our solvent or uv machines, the plotter is slow and we are having weird issues with it anyways, and...
