We use a cast overlaminate to help from fading. No issues at all with adhesion issues. Agfa ink is great.
My old HP FB500 had issues with laminate pulling up.
I talked to a HP dealer and he said he doesn't sell the HP700 or HP800's anymore because of quality issues and having to deal with HP. He also said the same about the R1000 and R2000 hybrid flatbed printers.
You need a router to cut everything out. What are you going to do if it needs to have round corners? Also I'm pretty sure foamboard will crush trying to cut on a guillontione.
I have a Kongsberg X24 router machine and it cuts everything off our Agfa hybrid flatbed.
I buy occasionally from Stouse and when I googled my company name I see their pay per click showed up first as Stomp Stickers where they are selling direct. I'll be looking for another wholesale vendor.
I have owned a Kongsberg X24 for over a year and love it. Make sure you get the higher horsepower spindle if you plan on doing a lot of router cutting.
