  1. Printer for double sided workflow? Need perfect registration

Yes need to be skilled to run a 4 color Heidelberg. Small flatbed like Xante you could have the card already cut and run them that way or single sheet and then cut. This is the way to go if you want them done in-house.
  2. UV printhead left uncapped for 26 hours, and how do you deal with anxiety?

The problem is everyone in today's world thinks they can have now. Been printing offset, digital, and wide format since 1987. It is getting more stressful in today's world. If you have problems longer to get parts on offset side. Pretty much all digital now but if issue comes up seems to many...

I would suggest Xante. One of the more affordable prices.
  4. Back with more experience

Well if you made it this long you must be doing something right. All suggestions have been good. Another option can be time&material. What are you paying yourself is it enough? I think most people don't consider all the time it takes. Setup/Proofs/time spent talking and explain things to...

  7. printing grey and getting red/blue/green undertones

If you can edit file. I just change grey to 100% black and just use a percent of black depending on how dark the grey looked in file. 10% - 50% etc.. designers don't understand production. And normally will pick a pantone color but when that is printed in cmyk many grey's will use cyan, magenta...

Don't forget you have to have some form of receipt. You have to create a job ticket for billing or accounting purposes. Have to save file in your system and have some way to find it again. People think you are their secretary. Come in 4 years later and want a few more. What you don't have my...

  11. it is not all about dpi

I have been in the offset and digital printing world for a long time. And have not really taken the time to understand all of this. Looking into a Mimaki JFX200 or a Flora 2512. I believe the Mimaki has a capping station for print head and the Flora does not. The Mimaki guy says if you don't have a capping station, machine has to spit a lot and a lot of ink is wasted because it is always spitting. With the capping station...

New Equipment I did look at this online that you mentioned I like what I see both rigid and rolled but still a vacum belt not friction feed. But without contacting a dealer I found you are looking at $130K That's a 80K jump over Mutoh and 40K over the other models. Not ready to commit that much.
