  4. I think I have a HUGE problem....

    try cleaning the encoder strip with denatured alcohol, I am no technician, but when my encoder strip got some dirt and a splash on ink on it, its printing went crazy --open the lid and its the grayish clear strip right in the middle its attached by black plastic clips and springs on each side.

    I agee with bob, we have printed all our own color charts out on differant medias, and we take the vinyl to it to match it, or better yet we let the customer pick the color off our charts. But it is the easiest way to match an existing job or vinyl. good luck
  7. Valujet 1204: Did you get the take-up reel?

    First the Printer, then the Take up You have to take into consideration that some of us bought the VJ when it was brand new, and when it was first first released the take up reel and was not available yet. the take up system was realeased a few months later.
  8. Flourescent Colors?

    flourescent orange dont know of any myself, would it be possible to paint the helmet first and cut your images out of printed vinyl and clear the whole helmet. just a thought. I recently did this on a sprint car, it took way to much time but the guy was good to pay.

    got one, I have speeds up to 120 sq. ft an hour on full 48" wide printing, so far working great, but I always keep my fingers crossed.

    I have a mutoh dripping small drops of red ink on my vinyl, what was happening is that the dust collected under the print head like a little dust bunny collecting the magenta ink and every so often the ink would drip of onto the vinyl. I wiped off the bottom of the head and the red drops...

    It sounds like you have a cut box selected around your letters. check the options in your production manager and uncheck any boxes that say easy weed. hope this helps
