  1. How to align OBJECTS to path in Coreldraw...?

You can also create the shape you want to copy along the path & then copy (Ctrl+C). Select the text tool anywhere on your page & paste (Ctrl+V). Your shape can then be changes as if it were a font as well as using the Fit Text To Path tool.
  2. Fit text to path in Corel X5

You'll need to hit the Mirror Horizontally & Mirror Vertically buttons. Then change the horizontal offset to bring the text around to the bottom & "distance from path" if needed to move the text below the circle. Personally, I hate how Corel fits the text so I just do it manually. Break each...
  3. Help

Just a thought, but have you thought about turning the speaker to face upright & pull some detail to help it resemble the Roman Coliseum? Just a thought that looks good in my mind but may not work on paper.
  4. corel users - importing pdf's

Another trick that sometimes works for me is when opening a PDF file, rather than viewing "All File Formats", try viewing/opening only .PDF files. For some reason, in Corel's world it seems to make a difference.
  5. new logo tweaked

I'm actually thinking you were not too far off with the first one. If you changed the font for "concepts" to something with more weight & changed the "signs & graphics" to upper/lower case and us the rapier font you have for "Visual", I think it might help.
  6. Re relettering Lexan?

There will always be someone out there that is willing to do it, but it doesn't change the fact that it probably shouldn't be done. Just remember that if you do it, you put your name & reputation on it as well and the client will most likely forget all of your warnings when talking to his...
  7. Wrapping a globe (sphere)

Thanks a bunch Pat, that's exactly what I was thinking of. I never knew those segments were called "gores". That was so much better than having some smart ass do it for me on google.
  8. Wrapping a globe (sphere)

Sometimes, as designers, we are faced with challenges caused by a salesman opening his mouth. This is just such a case & I'm lost. Would anyone happen to know where I could look to find a map that has been laid out flat so we could then print & wrap a globe? I'm thinking it would have to be...
  9. SuperBowl Commercials

What, no votes for Betty White & Abe Vigoda? Maybe my sense of humor is just a little off center.
  10. Interesting wrap

I'm wondering how many times you would reach for the wrong door handle before you got sick of smashing your knuckles into the door.
  11. Corel Draw..halftone? how to?

When you converted it to a 1-bit bitmap, did you change the settings all the way down to 1 dot per inch? If you did & that is still not large enough, maybe making the image smaller or reducing the resolution would in essence make the dots larger when you convert it.
  12. Logo critique & insight on a logo change!

I really like the new icon a lot. I was wondering if you tried to make only the upwards pointing arrow red & then rotate it clockwise a bit so it is pointing up & forward? Maybe it won't look like it does in my head, but it's just a thought to emphasize upward & forward motion you would be...
  13. Corel Draw..halftone? how to?

The easiest way I can find to do it would be to get your background shape & then convert it to a bitmap. Add a gaussian blur. Then convert the bitmap to a black & white halftone. You can change the shape of the screen & increase the number of dots per line to fit your needs. Once that is done...
  14. Left or Right Handed?

I call myself ambidextrous but I'm really just a confused southpaw. The worst grade I got in college was trying to do calligraphy. The proffessor wouldn't accept the pen being held at the wrong 45 degree angle.
  15. Anyone on this crazy font?

    dang, I just missed it.
  16. Anyone on this crazy font?

    Looks like this one... http://www.fontspace.com/greywolf-webworks/chain-letter
  17. Popcorn Co. Logo

I like everything... but there is just one small detail that I can't seem get my past. My eye keeps jumping to the outline around "popcorn" overlapping the background borders. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it. Either way, you won't hurt my feelings.
  18. text boarder

I'm not sure if this is the problem or not, but if you have 2 separate objects selected, you will not be able to put a contour on them. You could try to group them together & then contour or select them separately.
  19. Wing Creating tutorial

You know, I've been using Corel for 15 years & it never ceases to amaze me that I am still learning new tricks, tips or shortcuts. Awesome tut, thanks for the link
  20. Font ID Please

How about here http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/efscangraphic/brighton-sh/bold/ Although it looks like some of the letters are off from your picture.
