  1. Question Sandblast stencil

I normally weed after applying. But you're saying don't cut all the way through? So it stays together without tape? Never thought of that. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
  2. Question Sandblast stencil

I cut and apply a lot of sandblast stencil to cedar signs so they can be sandblasted and painted, etc. But I have been having a hard time finding an application tape for the stencil that works really well. I started out using regular Conform 4075 RLA paper tape, but that sticks too well. After...
  3. Black bleeds when printing

I am using an HP L26500 printer and the black text keeps "bleeding" while printing. Not sure the cause of this. It's only the black, all other colors have nice crisp edges like they should have. The black text or images look fuzzy. It's not an allover even "fuzzy" either, it's random. Some...

  5. caldera printing issues

The image was a pdf from the customer, then made into an eps for printing. The picture I posted is the eps.
  6. caldera printing issues

Here is a picture of the boxes I am talking about. They just appear as hard edges in the yellow areas. Thanks for your help
  7. caldera printing issues

I am trying to print an image with a gradient and I keep getting "boxes" around the gradient areas. Never had this problem using Caldera before. I used to run Onyx and would get this all the time. The fix with that was to change the rendering intents. I am not sure that's an option with Caldera...
  8. heat settings for printing on Oracal Premium Cast vinyls?

Thanks, I'll try it. I know this stuff shrivels with a heat gun, so I was thinking it might do the same on the printer. Thanks for your help
  9. heat settings for printing on Oracal Premium Cast vinyls?

I am trying to print on a roll of Oracal Premium Cast vinyl, just the regular stuff you would cut lettering out of. I have an HP L26500 latex printer and I am wondering about what to set the temp to? I don't want to risk a random setting and melt the vinyl all over my printer. Any suggestions...
  10. Beer Label Material

Thanks! I'll try some adhesive vinyls that I have. Appreciate your help!
  11. Beer Label Material

I need to make beer labels but I am not sure of the best material to use. It will need to withstand water from the cold bottle and wet hands. I think the paper is usually very thin with adhesive on back? Also, I'll be printing with a Latex printer (HP L26500), not sure if this is the best...
  12. HP Latex L26500 prints wavy pattern ????

Thanks everyone! I will get new material. Appreciate it!
  13. HP Latex L26500 prints wavy pattern ????

My HP L26500 (new in 2013) prints a wavy pattern on the front 12-24" or so of each print. The pattern has way less ink in the wavy area, it looks washed out. I only notice this on 13oz banner material. I know it's not the temp because sometimes it prints fine. I am not sure why it would do this...
  14. Laminator Out of Whack

Maybe check Nip and adjust if needed. Rollers might be concave or canted if roller slips when feeding materials, check that out too. Hope it's an easy fix and you get it figured out.
  15. Error message when trying to profile with Caldera

I am trying to create a profile with Caldera for my HP L26500. When I open Easy Media, select the printer and click Next, I get an error message. It says, "easymedia: Exit with error". I thought I needed to upgrade Caldera, but on Caldera's website it says L26500 is not supported. I've been...
