Thanks alot everone for your input on this. I beleive I am going to go with the 4ever post as mentioned. Complete setup of ground rod, vinyl post sleeve and cap for $46... cant hardly beat it. and as I said these are temporary so this would be the ideal setup.
Thanks again!!!!!
It will be a 60" post sleeve with 2 fooot in the ground and 4 foot out of the ground. These are just custom for sale signs in front of 48 different houses. So will not be there for more than a year.
MOrning Folks...
I am going to be setting about 60 posts in the ground with only 48" out of the ground with a Maxmetal sign that is 18" x 24". With how light this sign is. Do you think I could get away with just putting the PVC post sleeve in the ground without even using a 4x4 post inside of...
So has anyone ever figure out the true culprit on this laminate burn saga? I am having the exact same issues with 210 lam. 3 years ago i switched over to latex ink and havent had it long enough to know yet if that will fix the problem if it truly is outgassing that is causing the burn.
But i...
Thanks Tyrant,
Just what are manufacturers refering to when they say a film is a 6 year film? Are the saying it will stay stuck for atleast 6 years, or are they saying the color will hold up for 6 years?
I am re-doing a truck now that I used a six year metallic vinyl on. It has lost all of it...
Was wondering if anyone has tried laminating fluorescent or high metallic vinyls to hopefully keep them from washing out so soon? We live in south Georgia and the rays around here are brutal. Was thinking of trying this as an extra fee when someone calls about fluorescent lettering on their...

Anyone ever had a chance to try this?
Hey Guys,
Got a customer that I am doing some signs for. I just got done with one sign for him which is black with gold lettering(One Shot gold metallic).
He wants the gold paint to look a bit more like real gold (perhaps a more yellowish gold). Of course he doesnt want to spend the cash it...
Thanks guys for youtr replies. I guess I will just take a chance and hope that it doesnt yellow. I have had gold vinyl lift around the edges before and this is why I am somewhat afraid not to edge seal
Hello all,
Would anyone kindly give some advice from your experience with edge sealing the edges of vinyl like gold or metallics? Have you ever seen the clearcoat that you use to seal turn yellow and start to look really bad? I want to edge seal a vinyl job coming up but I am scared of...
Ahhh I sure hope so, but would you happen to know what I need to do to straighten it?
I have engaged that spring mechanism on the front plate that holds the head and tried to physically move the head but cant seem to move it.
thanks alot
Thanks again Artbot... Wiuld you say that bottom of the head (where the ink sprays out) should sit absolutely flush level and not be tilted whatsoever?
Cause when I look at the head it is definitly tilted. And so happens that the side of the head that sits the lowest is the side with the black...
Well all colors except for black was doing it. But now a new problem... I successfully changed the magenta dampers but now when I print a block of red it comes out yellow.:frustrated:
I dont think that the magenta ink is getting any further than the dampers.
And also am getting a stray straight...
Sounds good Artbot, I am going to try that next. But let me ask you this... do you beleive that there is no possibility that the head is not sitting all the way seated inside the cap when attempting a cleaning? Possibly letting air in around the head. If that is a possibility then is there...
Yea, I agree Stealth Rider, and thanks to everyone for suggestions. I really feel like the problem is with the cap not sealing good to the head but I have replaced the MS and done alot of other tips and still cant even get ink to flow thru to the waste tray during a cleaning.
Im pullin my...
Well I intend on changing all dampers but just wanted to start with 2 to see if my banding problem would get better in that color.
So DSD, are you saying that I need to pull both dampers off of the head carriage and pull ink from both dampers at the same time from the hole that gets the o-ring...
