  1. Billboard Tensioning Options / Systems

The company I work for had me design a billboard for them. The billboard measures 16'W x 8'H. The depth of the structure is 2 1/4". I designed the banner at 16'6" x 8'6" to wrap around the structure and the original thought was to attach the banner with screws / fender washers through the...
  2. Custom cut vinyl rolls for width

Fellers is my main vinyl supplier that I use so I'll contact my rep and see. Thank you.
  3. Custom cut vinyl rolls for width

I have a customer that is wanting to match the fire truck green that was used here years ago (kind of a lime green color). The vinyl that I can find that matches the closest only comes in 60" wide rolls. Does or has anyone cut down a 60" wide roll to a size they can use successfully? I have a...
  4. Sponsorship Banners

For this client, I do a standard charge for the banner (based on size and weight of material). The additional artwork I do not charge for. They are happy with the price I charge them, and the quality of work, and I am happy with the money I make from the job. It works well because once I have...
  5. Sponsorship Banners

I design sponsorship banners for a local travel baseball / training facility each year. They always get sponsors who's logos are terrible quality images that are sent over. I make enough $ on the banners each year that I basically eat the cost/time of vectorizing the bad quality images. This...
  6. Need Help SUMMACUTD60/WINDOWS10 COMMUNICATION

How are you connecting to your cutter? I connect via network cable (there is a small 5 port gigabit switch between my pc and the cutter). Sometimes I get that message and rebooting the cutter fixes it. All I've ever done is install the Summa software and drivers and everything works fine. I'm...
  7. Installation Tip for a trailer

I normally get my vinyl from Fellers, if I were to order it today/tonight it might be here tomorrow but most likely Monday. I've already scheduled with the customer for Saturday morning (I'm cutting the decals tonight). This isn't my "profession" per say (I'm a systems admin / pc tech by day)...
  8. Installation Tip for a trailer

If you would have read the entire statement you would have noticed "decal" in there. I'm not wrapping the entire trailer in silver metallic vinyl, I'm wrapping the metal angled piece with black, then the decal applied. 751 is out of the question since the decal is being applied on Saturday (I...
  9. Installation Tip for a trailer

    Am I missing something here?
  10. Installation Tip for a trailer

Are you high? There is a silver decal going on the trailer that goes over the top of the chrome angled piece. Cast isn't an option at this point, all I have is Oracal 651. I may start to make the change to 751 when ordering new vinyl, seems to be a better option than 651, just more $$$. I'll...
  11. Installation Tip for a trailer

? Talking about the perspective of the images? Those are the pics that were sent to me. The metal rail sticks up off the surface probably 3/16 - 1/4"
  12. Installation Tip for a trailer

So I'm installing a single color (Oracal 651 Metallic Silver) on the trailer in the picture. I'm wrapping that silver angled metal piece with chrome delete vinyl first, then the main decal goes on after. My question is will going over that metal strip disfigure the design and how can I get...
  13. Vectorizing an image

    I use Adobe Illustrator.
  14. Hello from Olney, IL

Thank you for the warm welcome lol. My GCC is just not up to par with what I expect so, I'll be upgrading very soon.
  15. Hello from Olney, IL

I've been using a GCC Expert 24 for roughly 5-6 years. I'm thinking of upgrading because I've notices when I do overlays, the top layer never seems to match up to the base layer if it's larger than say 3.5" long. I've narrowed it to Graphtec CE6000-60 or Roland CAMM-1 GS-24. Opinions good and bad?
