  1. Need Help New printer

Bigfish has a good point re: outgass...but I doubt anyone here sticks to the manufacturer recommendations on outgass;) Also I've been hearing a lot of de-lamination issues lately from friends with latex printers. Anyone else hearing that?
  2. Need Help New printer

Go with an Epson. Better speed and quality, less maintenance issues from what I've been hearing about the latex models lately. Best thing to do is have a dealer who sells both (there are many) do comparative print samples for you so you can see speed/quality and make the call for yourself.
  3. HP Latex and sticker printing

Spot on. If you want the sharp quality to compete with someone like Mule, latex isn't gonna cut it. HP Latex is like watching standard definition TV...it was/is good until you see HD TV. Get yourself a printer with a smaller picoliter drop size if you want to do stickers/decals/small type.
  4. Suggestions HP Latex 570 or Epson 80600

Had both...interestingly the Epson is actually cheaper ink cost per square foot when you consider how much ink the Latex needs to use to make a decent quality image. They both have ink usage calculators so your dealer should be able to easily do that comparison for you (since you probably won't...
  5. Need Help Roland VS Epson

What we liked about the Epson was the rewards program where you can earn points towards discounted/free service plans for 5 years of coverage. Also, the speed and ability to laminate same day is really nice.
  6. HP L560

Wait, am I reading this right? I have to use 150% ink density or more to get good color on the 560 or 570? Doesn't that completely remove any ink cost savings I am supposed to get? Do most people run at that high ink density?
  7. What printer to buy for wall decor (canvas wraps) - HP 360/365 or Epson S80600

I'd argue the Epson S80s and previous generation S70s are the most popular 64" machines for canvas wraps over the past few years. From reading this thread it's easy to see the common theme that Epson quality > Latex. When I was in the market for a new machine I had samples done on both (and...
  8. S80600 and linier profiles for ink limits nightmare.

I'd recommend you try installing the Onyx RIP that came with the machine to see if you like the results. From what I've heard, Onyx and Caldera perform well with the Epsons.
  9. S80600 and linier profiles for ink limits nightmare.

Make sure you do the feed and head alignments for each media. That should remove the ghosting. Epson has a program called Control Dashboard that should've been installed with the printer. You can download profiles directly from Epson's server and that should hopefully take care of your issues.
  10. Seiko M64's vs Epson SC60600

What's the usable speed on both? I hear the S60600 was pretty fast but also about half the price of a M64...
  11. New Epson S80600

If you're looking for the best quality in this segment, the S80600 is your answer. Vehicle wraps, decals, canvas....from what I've seen the S80600 is going to give you the best image/color. The stock profiles that are included should be more than enough to blow your local competition away.
  12. Epson S80600

The Epson S-Series printers include over 100 profiles with the included Onyx RIP and have a media server you can download many more profiles from based on media type or manufacturer. The profiles are created by Epson to optimize performance with the S-Series. If you're looking to buy soon, I'd...
  13. Best printer to print on clear material

The new Epson SureColor S80600 lets you swap between white and silver. White opacity is really good and image quality has been great so far. They have a red and orange ink which really takes the quality above what latex and other eco-sols can do. Haven't had any take-up issues so it seems...
  14. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

New generation Epsons....completely new build, best image quality out there, fastest production speeds. From what I've heard they are workhorse roll-to-roll machines and our S80600 (CMYKLcLmLkOR) with switchable white/metallic has been rock solid. Latex are great machines, no denying that...
  15. metallic printing

Check out the Epson S80600. Has Silver ink but you can freely swap between white, silver, or a cleaning cartridge in the 10th channel. Gives you the ability to print without having silver ink installed until you have a job that requires it.
  16. Advice for replacing a Mimaki JV3

New Epsons Check out the new Epson S-Series. From what we've seen, best image quality available, fast speeds, same day lamination. epson.com/sseries
  17. Epson S60600 + S80600 Avery icc profiles
