I haven't been extremely impressed with my VG-540. I have terrible cut accuracy.... I'm currently cutting at +.25mm scan after starting at 0.0. Have had 2 errors today causing a reboot/cleaning cycle that wastes a ton of ink. I have updated the firmware to the new 2.2 and ran countless test...

Sounds good. I wanted to make sure there isn't another product out there that's similar/better before I spend 6k on a unit.

The Tech re calibrated things back to 0.0 and it has helped - however to get it back to cutting perfectly I have to turn it off/on and doing this constantly causes it to run a cleaning cycle...... I'm dumping a bottle of ink per week now.

Hello! I have a Roland VG 540 and need to make sure the fume are handled appropriately as I'm currently using the Roland in my home. If anyone has experience with these units it would be great to hear as I only found a little information online. Thanks!

My VG540 goes through a cleaning cycle every time its turned on and that drives me nuts because I have to reboot after every error. I have been getting 2-3 feed/scan errors a day. Also it randomly will pause between jobs and start a cleaning cycle. This could be normal, but it's annoying to me.

Have you had any issues with alignment? I can't get mine to stay aligned for more than 12" of media.... And I haven't had this happen to me. I have had 6 motor errors and when I called the Techs they said this has been an issue with these.

Still having issues today. I reloaded the roll and everything... Called for a tech and they can't be here till 1/26.

Vg540, 4 weeks old. I calibrate to have perfect cuts then print 5 6x8 sheets across twice. And now look at how the print test looks. What am I doing wrong? I have tried a new roll of Orajet 3621, reloaded, with only 2 pinch rollers, 4 rollers, changed temps and I can't figure out why after...

I have went back to just the outside pinch rollers. And now im back to terrible cutting accuracy on a 5" file. I'm seriously OVER this VG-540. On a side note it keeps throwing Feed Motor Errors too.

I'm trying to print/cut some decals and where the rollers hit the red its picking it up and transferring the ink up/down the print. Its only the red ink for some reason. Any ideas? I have my heat all the way up

Have you been able to separate the Contour cut and perf cuts across multiple jobs with Flexi?

The Roland Tech advised not to use the "Center on Media" option in VW. This has solved the accuracy issues I was having and has presented a new one with my perf cuts. If I don't have 4-5" from the pinch roller to the first perf cut the media rips and jambs up the machine. If I move the base...

I have been successful at solving my print/cut issues by setting a Base point further in on my media than default. Is there a way to keep a base point on the VG540 without having to set it manually before each job?

This may sounds odd - are there any tips on loading a roll of vinyl on the machine to where it feeds straight and true? VG540 with 54" media.
