  1. Accidentally wrapped truck in 3M 40C, would that hold?

My final decision was to call the customer and explain we have to hold the truck for longer and re-wrap it. The good thing was all parts weren't yet reinstalled (mirrors, handles, and such), and because it was freshly re-wrapped, we stripped both sides in 20 minutes.
  2. Accidentally wrapped truck in 3M 40C, would that hold?

Yes, that's absolutely right. I'm not trying to get away with a mistake that will cost anything to the customer. I wonder if I can expect the wrap to hold.
  3. Accidentally wrapped truck in 3M 40C, would that hold?

It's a commercial wrap and it's done right, no primer. Hood and roof were printed on wider media and it was cast, no bumpers. From what I understand wrap shops all over the world are using calendared films, many of the color change wrap brands like techwrap are calendar and people are using them.
  4. Accidentally wrapped truck in 3M 40C, would that hold?

Hi, My installers just fully wrapped a truck that was printed on the wrong film, we found that it was 3M 40C but laminated with 2 mil cast overlaminate. Would you let that go out for a test with a customer, or it has to be re-wrapped? Should I expect this to hold long term, in lower Alabama?
  5. Equipment financing options and terms

I went to my bank and another local bank and I left a voicemail at a banker to CIT, I'll see who will get back to me.
  6. Equipment financing options and terms

Hi there, I'm running a small wrap shop and I'm trying to upgrade some of my equipment, laminator, and cutter and I found 5.5% financing for 5 years term on $23000 worth of equipment through MMP Capital, but the guy who does the financing doesn't act professionally and I would like to work with...
  7. Discussion Choosing the right 60"+ LAMINATOR

A lot of good advice here. I just got quoted $8900 for GFP 563TH-4 63" TOP HEAT LAMIN FULL PK including rear slitters and rear rewind and feel like this is going to be the right choice for us. Thank you all.
  8. Discussion Choosing the right 60"+ LAMINATOR

Looks like a lot of people are quite happy with the GFP. I see that the more expensive laminators are having silicone rollers and tension springs on each side of the roller, however the GFP doesn't have a spring, but it's direct adjustment nut and that worries me. Is it better to have silicon...
  9. Discussion Choosing the right 60"+ LAMINATOR

Hi there, There are multiple threads about laminators, but they're all dated. I'm trying to pick a good reliable laminator, as I'm currently experiencing huge issues with my Master Laminator Us Tech Vt8700. It's creating wrinkles, it doesn't keep straight, it doesn't hold even pressure on both...

  11. Flexi 12 changes colors in files

Hi there, I also have a problem with the colors in Flexi, I design in Illustrator in RGB/GPU preview and my white is #ffffff but when I import it to flexi it gives it slight blue/gray-ish tint and I didn't notice at first but when I printed the file all the white had ink dots in it and it was a...
  12. Need Help How to get into sign business and learn more about it?

Hi there, We're successfully running a small vehicle wrap shop located in Florida for over 3 years now. We have Latex 365 and all design and printing are done in house, but it's time to expand as the market is very limited. However, we don't know much about signage. -Are there any books that...
  13. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Re-calibrating and creating a new ICC profile worked for me. Just in case I also changed the printheads and I also spoke with HP tech, he told me to do color calibration every now and then like every two weeks or so. Also when the print heads are older than six months you should do color...
  14. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Ok, I'll delete my current ICC profiles and download new ones, I'll re-calibrate after that and I'll see if anything changes. I'm really trying to save on electric bills and LED lighting seems to be the best option, but if you think that's interfering with the printer I should probably avoid...
  15. Printing Grey with HP Latex 360

Hey guys, I got totally confused with that threat. I'm experiencing big problems with my grays printing pink as well and I need help if anyone figured out. I'm running HP Latex 365 with Flexi 12 and everything is the default, no special setting on the rip or the printer and I'm designing in...
  16. Need Help Do you loose quality when scaling raster image in Illustrator

Thanks for the input guys. It worked just fine. I had 100% scale with 100dpi raster image that I placed in Illustrator and scaled it down to 1/10 to fit the vector template and then save it as .ai and imported it into Flexi and scaled it to 1:1 and it didn't loose any quality. It printed out...
