It may be just adjusting mechanically. Could be wear and tear of bearings or belts stretching out. Just throwing it out there. I own an epson, it happens rarely.

Easy, if it is vinyl roll you or banner rolls, keep a bottle of Windex around. when you insert the media, let it run its course. Then extend the media, lightly spray the Windex and wipe with micro fiber towel softly. That removes your fingerprints.
Lately I have noticed outdoor lighted signs with translucent signs becoming blackish, like burning out.
What causes this? Is it no uv protection or the laminate not a uv protector?
I had a similar issue doing a 40 foot banner. I was told to shrink it proportionally in a pdf, the reopen in Photoshop. Resize it and save it as a jpeg.
