  1. Step by step guide - Onyx New media and Profiles

I'm late to the party so you probably have this figured out already...but at one point I realized I only had all tab options open if Onyx was opened in administrator mode. I would always have to right-click and "open as administrator" - that gave me all the options. Of course, there's ways to...
  2. HP Latex Undetermined Head Issue

These printers are notorious for color shifts in blues especially, and gradients, when tiling prints. This looks like that would be an issue. Is the background a pms color or cymk save file? The banding you mentioned is likely a head issue. On these printers an 8p or 10p should give near...
  3. Print shop expanding our signage capabilities - questions on equipment!

I also agree with the standalone cutter. We also have a T2 Summa. Got it right before wait times were insane (Nov 2020). The opas automation and perf cut are great for simple decals. I didn't realize that Mimaki was UV ink. It would take much need for lamination out of it with uv cured, but...
  4. Print shop expanding our signage capabilities - questions on equipment!

SignCenter does good work but I've found them to be quite expensive compared to other wholesalers. I would 100% recommend them for their service and quality, but not price. However, if the OP already had an HP315, they're not fully new to the signage world. I don't think she'd need to outsource...
  5. ONYX not labeling collumns / tiles correctly

If you send as individual jobs you need to include the selection for page number. Every new file will only be 1 row and 1 column, but a new page from the original file. You'll see r1c1p1, then r1c1p2...so on and so forth
  6. large mural prints not tiling accurately

If the take up reel is causing the material to not feed out enough, you'd see the print essentially printing a bit on itself. Is the print still crystal clear? I've only owned hps and the most skew I've ever gotten on the take up reel was maybe 1/2" so I can't relate too much, but I'd suggest...
  7. ANYONE HAVE A GENERIC WAIVER FOR SLIPPAGE ON FLOOR PRINTS?

What's his rationale for not using the floor laminate? Or does he not want ANY laminate at all? If it's just floor pull a fast one and use the 8509 lam which is smooth but happens to be floor rated. Otherwise walk away from it (corny pun).
  8. Need Help L360 Printhead Issues

Awesome - I'll give this a shot. Thank you!
  9. Need Help L360 Printhead Issues

Thanks for this. Quick question though - it's not just that it's reporting that half the nozzles are out....half the nozzles are actually not firing. The printhead test shows massive defects. Could this still cause this issue?
  10. Need Help L360 Printhead Issues

The maintenance Cartridge is still at 40% so I hadn't thought of that, but I'll give it a shot and see if it comes back to life. Thanks for the response!
  11. Need Help L360 Printhead Issues

Hey All - I have an HP L360 that is killing me right now. Ink nozzles are flying out all over the place. I called HP and they replaced the 4 heads (CB, CB, MY, MY) that were underperforming as they were still in warranty. With the new heads, one YM head was replaced again as it had just about...
  12. Streaks in Frosted Window Film

Many of those are from the edge of the squeegee semi-scraping either due to uneven pressure or where you bridged the vinyl taught. Try to keep a little more slack. Similar to what msenjur said, heat will help to dissipate faster, but it does usually take 1-2 weeks to fully go away. Also - I...
  13. Streaks in Frosted Window Film

We almost exclusively use bfree frost. Similar to a wet install, streaking does come out eventually even on a dry install. We exclusively do this dry as well, both full block out and cut graphics
  14. FB550 Printhead Replacement

thanks for the quick response - i love playing the risk/reward game. I'll try to follow it through after work one night without breaking it enough that i need a new printer....although i do like the new R series.....haha
  15. FB550 Printhead Replacement

yay for round 2 of this! We ended up replacing head 4 on this late April of last year. Everything seemed great until September/October. I submitted a claim to HP and they sort of ignored it for a while before giving me a technical printhead recovery procedure. When I finally got a hold of a new...
  16. Need Help Vendor Needed - Sideline Stadium Chairs

Does anybody have a vendor that can provide the padded stadium chairs sideline chairs that you see basketball players using? I used to have a source, but they've since gone out of businesses. I would need a 2 color logo on the seat and back cushion. Thanks in advance!
  17. Question HP Latex 300 Calibration

I figured this was the best route - but just wanted to see if it was truly necessary or not. Thanks for the quick response!
  18. Question HP Latex 300 Calibration

Hey Cornholio...I hope you are still out there. I recently acquired a second L360 printer (call printer B) that only had like 30k sqm on it (less than half the usage of my regular one, printer A). I understand there would be slight differences in shades, but I want to get them as close as...
  19. Is there a simple way to do font style this in Flexi?

That is super clever - I had never thought of breaking it apart like that. To answer myront's question...the text is still edible to an extent. I'd have to type each word out, but then can put the effect on all at one time. Thank you!
  20. Is there a simple way to do font style this in Flexi?

That's exactly where I got stuck too in Flexi. I'm going to try InDesign as iPrintStuff suggested and see if that works. Thanks for the response!
