I would third dye-sub for polyester, but you'd need to rethink it if you're using the existing store's "pre-shrunk 75% cotton 25% polyester," for adhesion reasons.
If that isn't an issue, try looking into the Virtuoso SG400 to see if it fits your needs. It's listed around $550-$630 (USD).
Are you working out of a cold room too? That would also be a factor. For wet apply, even more so.
I'm in Ontario for reference. Humidity is relatively high (87% outside), but I'm in a temperature controlled room with no direct sunlight.
