I was taught to leave the skin on the top of the paint. When you open the can just poke a small hole on one side and remove what you need and let than skin seal back up. Removing the skin just forces the paint to make a new skin.

I have got a Mutoh Blizzard 65 with one of the black print heads out of alignment. So much so, that I can't contour cut because the registration squares are too fuzzy for the Summa cutter to read. Mutoh says it need to be done by a service tech but non of them work on this machine any more...

I don't think that is the way it works. It's not perforated it is a mesh material before printed. Besides, City hall isn't going to do the math. If they look at it at all they are just going to say 12 oz doesn't fly!
