I was non-renewed as well because we use a boom that goes over 10 ft. I tried to reason with them letting them know we only use a boom to go up to 9 feet and pass on any projects above that but they didn't buy it. They also asked if we do "stickers" on vehicles. I said I would rather not but on...
It is a national client. I will either find a shop to do it turnkey or just help them find someone for them to work with and stay out of it. Margins are not the best so I think spending a lot of time with logistics could be trouble.
That is what I was figuring. What about fabrication? Do you have any shops up there that you would recommend. I know both locations are in union areas.
Rocco,
I actually have a couple of projects I'm working on in Philly and NYC. We usually fab and source the installs. Do you have any insights on what challenges I might run across considering the unions?
I have a client who will be opening a small retail store in Times Square. The building is landmarked, so I imagine this will be a lot of fun. I need help with the install and all permitting. Anyone interested in quoting or know anyone that could may be? I'm sure it's union.
We have acquired some "compatible" SS21 ink cartridges and I'm really weary to use it. Should I be and what risk would they present to my printer? I have a 1.5 year old Mimaki JV300-130 that is out of warranty.
I have the same policy but curious what you have in place to secure final 50%. There are times when the customer is mysteriously out of town on install day and I end chasing money. Our purchase agreement states payment must be made before we install but that doesn't always happen unfortunately.
I'm having a problem with getting this plotter to recognize crop marks in order to counter cut. I'm using Fine Cut.
Anyone have any ideas or know of a tutorial?
I'm hoping to connect with a sign shop/company that can handle large volumes of general signage(including electric signs) that have experience with chain roll outs for a potentially long term project(s). Doesn't necessarily have to in the Toronto area but that would be ideal.
Anyone have any...

I have a client who is insisting on having his logo painted on a brick wall. He is looking to achieve a washed out/vintage type look and I was planning on using some type of stencil(the logo is the letter "C" and a line of text, white on blue).
Anyone have any recommendations on what type of...
