The print head movement also sounds slightly different than normal but have done all my normal checks. Seems quiter.

Hi everyone hop you can help me. When I print a solid colour on canvas I get this wierd random line issue. Did a head check which was fine. Printing banner out perfectly on same setting as the canvas. Could it be the media causing the problem Anyone had this before?

Hi I am wanting to source canvas media that will be Matt finish after printing using our RE640 Roland Original inks. Does anybody have any recommendations? We tend to find that the ink is reflective once printed especially with dark colours. Any help you can give would be great. Thanks Chris

I have narrowed down the search to this one (approx £3600): Easymount EM-S1600H Wide Format Laminator I am tempted by this but i'm not sure I need the advanced features of it and i'd rather buy new and have a good relationship with the supplier in case I have need support or have problems...

not sure what would be considered as lots but it would be between 32 sqm to 144 sqm per day. A lot of what we do is unattended so ideally any lamination would have some sort of auto feed so we can keep an eye on it if that is even possible o_O

Thank you for that tip that was something I had not thought of, I have enquired with them. At least that is something I could try quite cheaply and then buy a liquid laminator if the results are good. Thanks Chris

Thanks for your input. The problem we have is that its the inks that are not Matt finish the media itself is very Matt. A lot of the stuff we print covers the entire media so the whole thing ends up shiny. I would say the banner that we get is very flat and smooth no ridges, so I am assuming...

Thank you, this is what we find with the PPM7 that the ink soaks in. I will have a look for uncoated media unless you have any suggestions?

I find that if the ink sits on the top it glares if it soaks in it can appear glare free. PPM7 does this but currently there is no supply.

Thanks for the tip. I just mean not adhesive vinyl. Media could be anything really textile, banner, etc.

Hi Dallas Yes that is what I thought, there is now special way it can be printed. I guess he may have meant not solvent. We are open to any media doesn't have to be vinyl, could be canvas, film, etc. We were using magicInkjet PPM7 but supply of this product has dried up here. Thanks Chris
