We're getting into a lot of crating large signs throughout the country and find ourselves taking a lot of time to figure out how big we need to crate. I'm hoping by now we have some sort of software to streamline this. Do anyone know of a company that has this?

If I need someone who can take a creative mock-up electrical blade signs and need someone to interpret the drawings to make production files. Am I needing a structural engineer or mechinal engineer?

currently I'm in a awkward situation with a return customer of ours.
2014, we did a removal of old neon channel letters and reposition at the same location. We also did awning fabric change.
2019, customer's old neon channel letter sign (Not made by us) burst into flames...
Is there any recommendation for an electrician to be added on our sign permit applications for channel letters? We're in need of help in the state of IOWA
What do most people do here when estimating to customers?
A) Do a rough sketch along with an estimate?
B) Get a rough estimate approved then work on a rendering?
I'm curious... What do you do when you're installing pin mount channel letters and you discover there's a steel beam behind the bricks.
1) do you charge the customer for the raceway and revisit?
2) do you eat the cost? and do it?
