  1. Need Help Summa Opos X or Opos Cam??

Thanks ProColor & Behrmon. I had heard Cam is more forgiving on specialist materials and Laminates (like glitter & chrome etc) and although i don’t print on those often, it would be nice to have the option. We do a lot of vehicles and some lorries with full color drops, I have been told I can...
  2. Need Help Summa Opos X or Opos Cam??

Hi, looking for some impartial advice on Summa S2 plotter. I have had a Graphtec FC8600 that I have been fighting with contour cutting issues for years and gave decided to upgrade to a Summa S2 T160. It comes with OposX but I had been advised by another sign company that I should get the Cam...
  3. Print issues on HP Latex 360

Could be an encoder strip problem, try cleaning it with a lint free cloth (dry, no cleaning fluid) and see if that helps. Might also be a problem with the file, though it looks like you are getting it on 2 separate print files.
  4. HP360 Lamination Problems

Interesting you say to run at 6 pass, we had an HP technician write a profile for us (Hexis 200 vinyl) and they advised running 10pass. Might be worth giving 6pass a go and see if it makes a difference. Have you ever had laminate problems?
  5. HP360 Lamination Problems

We have left prints for up to a week before laminating, just to see if it makes a difference but for us, delamination still occurs. The 365 uses same 831 inks, so same scratch resistant properties, therefore same lamination issues. If you need to print and laminate right away, then it’s the only...
  6. HP360 Lamination Problems

Definitely still and issue with the 360 and I’m still having problems. No longer use the printer for vinyls or anything to that need lamination. HP have been useless and downplayed the problem saying I’m the only person affected and they are nowcompletely ignoring any emails from me .
  7. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

Feed calibration done before running those prints but i agree, could be tweaked a bit more. Email address is colin@4corners.org.uk really appreciate your help.
  8. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

Using Colorgate, which was supplied with the printer. I run Caldera (Version 11) for my other printers and had tried it but the only profile I could get was using about 30-40% more ink than the Colorgate profiles. If you can tell me where I could get some profiles, I would really appreciate it...
  9. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

The problem that I have is that my workspace os pretty much open plan with total floor area of 4500 sq/ft and 12ft ceilings. Heather is going throughout winter and always when printer is running but I have no way of really controlling the environment. The Tech said optimal Humidity is around...
  10. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

Hi Pro thanks for that, might give it a go, though we are getting what looks like ink starvation across the colour range butt really struggles with greys or blues. Happens during 16pass but mainly when we try 10pass, pretty much unusable, even for short term signs/prints, I wouldn't want to hand...
  11. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

Hi AlsEU Brand new machine and already replaced by Fuji but still same issue. Happens mainly on Monomeric vinyl, though to a lesser degree on Paper & PVC (that's all we usually print on). Sending adjust and all maintenance steps carried out regularly. Vacuum pressure checked weekly. Really at a...
  12. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 ink starvation

Hi Swordguy. I know this post is a few years old but I am having the same problem with my Acuity LED 1600. Did you get the problem sorted and if so, what was the cause and solution?
  13. HP360 Lamination Problems

That is exactly what has happened to us before GaSouthpaw, have had instances where prints have been laminated gloss rather than matt (and vice verse) and as long as there is no large ares of unprinted media, we can pull old laminate easily and re-laminated.........suppose that is one plus point...
  14. 61" - 64" SAV and Over-Lam

No shrinkage on their Poly Lam (V750) from what I have noticed, though not sure if it the poly would be suitable for banner material, don’t think it would allow much flexibility?
  15. 61" - 64" SAV and Over-Lam

I’ve been using Hexis v200 poly vinyl for about 5-6years, no issues with shrinking, they also do 64” wide
  16. HP360 Lamination Problems

Hi JF, thanks for the reply, the reason I ask about the inks is that I remember looking at an Epson SC a few years ago and the ink was a ridiculous price, about £160 per cartridge (220 US) which put me right off but checked out costs for 80600 last night and they are £86 so very reasonable (same...
  17. Anyone recognize this banner stand?

Hi Signbrad, probably not much help as we are based in the Uk but this is a Vortex Lite stand, uk company is Ultimate Displays, there is another based in the Netherlands called TIDERSIGN, don’t know if that helps but they might be able to direct you to a US supplier?
  18. HP360 Lamination Problems

Hi Bly, never heard of that before but you are right, worth giving it a go, nothing to loose. Though it is also happening on pop-up material, which can’t take much heat as it warps, so don’t think too much heat is the cause but will give it a go.
  19. HP360 Lamination Problems

Have had no color issues, just the de-lam, but because of that and their total lack of care in helping with the issue, I would never buy another. Problem is that I have been so used to the print quality but mainly the same day lamination, I just don’t know what to replace it with! Is the Epson...
  20. HP360 Lamination Problems

Have tried a range of vinyl, pop-up and roll up material, even poster paper and all the same. Personally I think the if you need to laminate, HP360 is NOT the printer to use
