Save your file as .TIFF or JPEG at CMYK . I have experienced the same issue at PDF while I changed to TIFF and JPEG than it's solved.

I have Mutoh VJ 1614, from some time I am having problem with printing, it gives me black lines. Please see the attached pictures for more details. There is no specific time for these lines I do regular print on this machine sometime I don't get these lines for week, but sometimes it's headache...

I did print very high resolution images as well, but still I am having this problem, I noticed one thing more when I lower the head position It reduces the blury spots.

I changed the ICC profile now, the sandy shape is gone!

I live in San Antonio, Texas, and it's quite humid city, but the most surprising is I don't have this problem while I am printing with 4 Passes, It only happens in 6 and 8 passes.

The picture which I uploaded that's very small size of print maybe 5x5inches, it prints really good but the problem is blurry lines around the print.
