lol I also got the same message after I posted.. we will see, If the ink is going to be more expensive I may still convert the machine, I have less than $500 invested into it, so it may make sense for me to do it. I will try the texas ink if viable. may not be a good long term plan with only...
GPHHA1905T6L/4p is my bulb part number, it's manufactured by a company called lightsource, they have specifications on similar bulbs but not this specific length and this changes the wavelength apparently. Another option is 2 use a UV wavelength detector and measure output when the machine is...
I'm working on getting ink reformulated from superimage in China, the stuff they sent me was just the standard uv ink they produce and repackaged. They said to give them uv wavelength spec, so I am trying to get that information from the bulb manufacturer. I'm tempted to just go the lava ink...
Superimage ink from china is just standard UV cure ink, wipes right off a test print while the other inks stay. the aftermarket ink manufactures assume that this UV ink is the same as all the other UV printers that cure with higher UV output. converting these machines look like the only option...
Cuantek ink is not yet ready for these machines. Tried it, but the current formula is for all the machines that have a higher uv heat wavelength.
Current ink supply for these machines without modifications is
Super image technologies in china...
ink is available from a company in china, or there is also a retrofit kit available to use the more standard uv ink. what would you like for your spare parts list?
magenta Ink got into vacuum pump, cleaned it all up, cleaned and drained vacuum tank, cleaned magenta vacuum solenoid. I have cleared all the lines, but now cannot purge because of vacuum error. (Puts machine in a safe mode)
I can create vacuum by putting my finger over air filter that goes...
, yes it was full of magenta it's all been cleaned out, lines are all cleared. ink had gotten into vacuum lines and the vacuum check valve attached to vacuum canister was not working, replaced check valve. now this is happening. is it possible the onboard pressure sensor is damaged...
I have a Gerber cat uv, also trying to fix a vaccum error! check the log file, this is what mine says
[0:01:38.815] Current ink vacuum pressure is (0.50 psi)
[0:01:38.815] Setting ink vacuum pressure to (0.34 psi)...
[0:02:39.447] Error: failed to set ink vacuum, err=728

Having a vacuum pressure issue on my gerber cat uv, anyone have any information on how the vacuum system is usually set up? Pump creates vacuum, ink was found in pump so i purged and cleaned it. There is a vent port that may have a 1 way check valve that is not closing maybe damaged from ink...
Anyone running a gerber flatbed machine with flexi 10? Driver profile seems all wrong and backwards, finally got it to print somthing without a rip error but only printing a half image. Anyone have a setup like this that is working?
I have a gerber cat uv that I am able to experiment with, if there is enough intrest and people wanting detailed results with different uv ink types i am willing to put in the r&d time for a conversion kit or reliable ink source. This problem may be better off solving as a collective community...
